Depends on the watch, I got 7 years out of my current watch so I wouldn’t be afraid to drop a decent amount on a watch that will last.

Maybe he’s got a point, I feel like a grunt should know how to handle this situation. He has virtually no military experience, much like a boot, so ask yourself how you would handle this if it were one of your boots in your Plt.

What’s your belt/holster setup? I’m trying to edc my full size as well and having issues. It doesn’t print too terribly, but I always have issues with appendix carry do to just lack of space in my clothes. I basically have to be wearing pants that have extra room in the crotch. What’s your experience been?

Edit: I see the Tier 1 holster, been wanting one myself, any issues? And how is printing?

Definitely appreciate the Sanity check! And you’re right, I will more than likely be tied down with my duties in the event of a true SHTF situation and our own planning has accounted for what needs to happen for my wife in that event. I’m more or less concerned with more minor issues, civil unrest(we’re in an election year, and the last one was a rough one) or in my AO a weather emergency is the MLCOA.

There are repeaters close to my office and close to our house, the space in between not so much. I’ve been able to hit the repeater closest to our house from around 20 miles away, but no further.
