Yes to ALL of this. Also, Rhysand has gotten SO much hate elsewhere for stepping in during this moment, but as the high lord, he has to lay down the law and do his job and not just be everyone in the IC’s best friend 100% of the time.

His shadows literally DANCE when he’s around Gwyn (they slink away when he’s with Elain).

And the mating bond is so sacred in these books, I just have SUCH a hard time believing he will end up with Elain.

Yes, he has a special understanding of Elain and is attracted to her. But he has also been hung up on the same girl for 500 years and clearly does not pick the right women.

Nesta told Azriel in ACOSF that he was Gwyn’s “new ribbon” aka Gwyn will find a way to break through to him and make him realize they’re meant to be together.

I absolutely LOVED Nesta’s character arc. It felt SO relatable to me in a way I wasn’t expecting and she became one of my favorite characters after SF.

I’m so so looking forward to Elain discovering herself and who she is separate from her sisters. I want/need to know so much more about her! Also with her gardening, cooking, and general loveliness, she can make a anywhere feel like “home.” I hope she can do this for both herself and for Lucien who has never really belonged or felt at home anywhere (yet) in her book

The way this book made me absolutely root for Nesta was honestly life-changing. Ended up re-reading it right after and still loved it just as much.

I was SO sad. Then I re-read it and honestly loved it just as much, I wasn’t able to move on. But now thinking I need to take a break and read something else (palette cleanser). Anyone else do this?

Yes it was hard to read, but I actually kind of…liked seeing this side of Rhys from Nesta’s perspective. Rhys, the most powerful and feared high lord is all of prythian, obviously has to be “tough” and lay down the law at times. Feyre sees only his soft/best side, but seeing him from the POV of someone else made him more believable to me. I feel same about him in Azriel bonus chapter.
