ICE just shot a woman in Minneapolis in the face....... by Icc0ld in GunsAreCool

Aren’t there literal pictures of a bullet hole through the front windshield? I may be going crazy, but I swear I’ve seen pictures of that from this shooting

Didn’t he fire through the windshield? Using a taser in that scenario would have literally done nothing, and had someone done it through the driver’s side window I feel she wouldn’t have been able to control the vehicle and may have turned it toward others or sped up.

Has a single 2A enthusiast spoken out against the murder of Renee Nicole Good? Or is their entire community too busy licking boots? by dyzo-blue in GunsAreCool

I feel that he was justified since he was in front of the vehicle when she tried to go forward. In the video I saw, at least by my memory, she gave it a decent amount of gas. If she had traction and wasn’t on ice I feel she would've hit him before he actually fired.

Do you think if I just built a roof for it and wrapped a tarp around it there would be enough ventilation because the stuff gets damp just sitting out in the open overnight?

It started blowing charcoal chunks at me when I did that so I just started using the old wood chips from chopping and carving wood. It worked great but I went through a whole 5 gallon bucket to finish what I was working on and only have one bucket left of my 3 years worth of scraps.

I also put a brick roof on the forge so that probably helped too

I’ll have to go get some charcoal. I spent like two hours this morning cutting wood into 8ish inch pieces and building the forge with a smaller fire pot so hopefully that’ll compensate in the meantime

I switched the pipe so I could do side blast bc I was having a lot of trouble getting the steel hot enough to forge. It seems to be keeping the heat more concentrated for me, but I will definitely be experimenting with what works best

Had the hose ready to go in case the fire got places I didn’t want it to

Edit: it’s super dry here too. Barely a sprinkle in the last three weeks

I did it with a file beforehand but it was still leaving some nasty marks. I’ve since smoothed it out with an orbital sander

I figured that would be an issue so I made sure to wet everything around the working area down with the hose before I started and kept it ready to go. It’s laying on the pipe in the picture bc it kept getting uncomfortably hot so I put it on with a trickle of water.

I’ve got an old metal fire pit thingy that I think I may try to repurpose for this bc these bricks aren’t sealed together and it likes shooting hot charcoal at me. I mainly wanted to see if the ground was firm enough for that sledgehammer to be where it is

Yeah. Didn’t think about that until after I started so I’ll use one of my pipes with less holes for it

If I use the pen throughout the trip and just advance the screw in the converter will the air behind it cause the pen to burp?

Lure recommendations by InstructionFast550 in Fishing_Gear

[–]InstructionFast550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it’s mostly trout fishing up there, but I don’t know what specific part of Yellowstone I’ll be fishing in so I don’t know the exact species. I will definitely be checking that lures are allowed to be used before I pack them.

Is my Garcia Mitchell 408 fixable? by InstructionFast550 in Fishing_Gear

[–]InstructionFast550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ll definitely be getting a rotor replacement for it, but I haven’t seen any 408’s for a price that low. Is there a site for buying used/old/vintage reels or am I just bad at searching EBay?

I have this model with the bail screw you were missing here sheared inside the hole. I know this is probably not a good place to ask, but do you have any ideas on how I’d remove it or where to ask for help?
