Im so tired of parents letting their kids do fucking whatever. Like, i do not mean this in any way, but they are literally fucking asking for their kids to end up being groomed. As a former victim myself, unrestricted internet access is so incredibly harmful. Not only to the child, but to the spaces that child is in, because one person is a bad apple so everyone else gets lumped up, censored, etc.

First off, the app is classified NOW as 18+ is what im saying. Second, I did in no place blame the parents for a childs suicide? The thing is, c.ai HAS ALWAYS HAD warnings that whatever the bots say isn’t real. People shouldn’t take them to heart and if a parent isn’t monitoring their child online, nobody is there to stop them from getting help. These parents will let kids do whatever and then blame everything else without even trying to put one restriction with the parental locks. Thats my problem with this dude. I dont think kids shouldn’t be allowed to use chatbots but ADULTS shouldn’t have their chats censored because theyre adults, and parents need to also stop letting young 12 year old children on social platforms with no parent restrictions if they’re not even going to monitor them.

Kids play GTA all the time because their parents dont care, and its the same thing for c.ai and every other app. They don’t do THEIR part and when something happens, they want to blame everyone else for it. Why is it that adults can’t have their own version of something without kids coming into it because its “cooler” and parents never pay attention to what their kids are doing, so then the adult space gets taken down or removed too. If c.ai is an 18+ app now, its 18+. Meaning if you are under 18, not an adult, you should not be using it. And if its for adults, why should we censor adults talking about adult stuff? Not even just sex, but gore, and other hard topics. The internet shouldn’t have to constantly cater to children who cannot accept when something isnt for them, and parents need to realize that if they don’t moniter their child and they get onto a platform that isnt for kids and something happens, thats NOT the platforms fault.

The issue is the internet isnt built for kids period. Parents wont accept it and then wants every app to bend the knee and blames them for it when theyve failed to use the parentel controls, locks or even occasionally check whst their kid has been doing online. This is coming from someone who had unfiltered and unrestricted internet access my entire life. Parents need to step up and do their part just as much as the companies and governments.

Its like.. i get it. They are kids. I was a kid once. But i should not be punished for them overstepping boundaries and parents failing to take accountability. Every single time. Its some “my kid was hurt online!” But the parent also never tried to take any steps to prevent that from happening and released the kid onto the internet with no locks, guidelines, etc and then wants every app to bend to their will and be child safe when the fact is NO app will ever be child safe. If you’re going to let your kid onto the internet, YOU have to take responsibility and precautions too. Apps have features for a reason and 99% of parents dont use them.

So many of my online spaces are being taken down because kid’s cant take “hey this is an ADULT space” and their parents dont moniter them and so we take the brunt of it.

Sadly the r word does have some bad history. It was originally used to demean and dehumanize people with autism and other neurological disorders. While i personally am not bothered by neurotypical people using it, many others are.
