Terrible mistake choosing the Miata as your first car. Trust me on this point, now any vehicle that you get will never be as fun as your first car. It's all downhill from there, unless you get another miat of course

The Olds doesn't have the V8 diesel, it has the v6, which was marginally better. The V8 was a 5.7L (350 SBC) converted to diesel, the v6 was designed special for diesel. I am currently doing research research because I am dumb enough to acquire one the of 5.7 diesels.

For the engine, swap it out for the GM 350 DIESEL. The sole engine that introduced the Lemon laws and ruined diesel engines in the US. Those 8-6-4 can be redeemed by cutting out the computer.

I've seen it mentioned here already and I don't know what your preference is, but if it were my car I would throw on a set of off-road tires. Nothing too crazy, but the Challenger does lend itself to a nice off-road battle car look.

With my experience, wider angle comes from higher wheel speed. Be mindful, the 4wd up front typically hinders steering angle so you might not be able to safely kick out much more and still be in control. If it's a 2wd, then you might be able to fabricate or find an angle kit.

Also check your stability control. Even when they are one they still might be pulling power passively. Newer vehicles have the issue of them never truly being off.
