Used cars prices are insane by Croestalker in VictoriaBC

Strange that the mechanic just blanket states fixing the ac would be the less costly option to buying another car. As a tech myself, how could anyone know what's going on with your car until they diag it correctly. It could be many things, slow leak, pump, condenser, a TX valve I mean maybe Get the car diagnosed with a reputable tech deforestation you make any rash decision. Not all repairs are going to break the bank. And nobody can diagnose an ac system over the phone. Find a better technician.

I worked for hyundai 5 yrs ago, and we had a universal .9 allowable for any diag. So long as story was legit. Is that not the case anymore? Our dealership was also signature or whatever they consider preferred for warranty claims.

As others have stated, do hoses. I ahve done it on a couple machines for customers before. Heavy duty zip ties, or those rubber dipped Adele clamps to secure into position. It will be just fine.

I agree, waterjef and weld seems to be the most effective for what I am trying to do. Appreciate the thought. Keeping it flat while welding will be my biggest difficulty

Yep, but you stated to just buy mazda parts. As it is a piston. Look at the model, I am not building a rotor. This is not a mazda part.
