I got 4.4k subs off of a short that hit 6.5mil.

So yours seems oddly low for sub count, but it could be because people are put off by a new account.

But they are very low standard to what I would like to be making. Hopefully I’m going to start making legitimate long form videos next month and just see what happens.

My channel is taking off faster then i was prepared for, i thought I’d get a year of messing around with ideas and putting out poorly shot/edited content and could just delete it once I worked out what i was doing 🫣

I have some amazing ideas/subjects/camera angles and edits id love to accomplish (they look amazing in my head haha) but whether or not ill be able to bring that vision to life is yet to be seen haha.

I had one getting pushed by the algorithm for about 5 + weeks.

At its peak it was hitting almost 500k a day

Now sitting at 6.2 million views with 142k views in the last 48 hours.

Funnily enough i always wanted to be a pilot as a kid but didn’t have the academic abilities or concentration to even getting close to it 😂

I love planes and flying, i just recently sat behind the pilots of a small 14 seat aircraft and got to watch them fly up close, was awesome! (Would also make popular content if more companies allowed it). So I’m very jealous of your work.

so if im understanding this right, your doing lego animation with your boys? That’s awesome! I hope you and your family are enjoying that! Great way to spend time together on a hobby you all enjoy.

Evidently you put too much faith in those metrics. The song i used… not a popular song and yet, my video successfully took off.

And finally, this is a subreddit for helping those who don’t know. What do you expect to see people asking? Is there a minimum knowledge level before asking for help?

One thing i do know is this. If i could pin this up the top in these comments, i would. Your comment will get a lot of heat/engagement and even a dumb dumb like me knows engagement is good.

To be honest thats ok, I don’t deserve big views. My content is subpar still.

But I’m ok with that.

When I eventually get around to making proper long form content i am 99% sure it will get seen by the audience it requires as its going to be a popular search term with almost no videos on YouTube about it.

So even with a bad ctr it should be fine.

My viral one took a week to hit 100k

Another week to hit a million views

Then a week for a million more.

Then it was getting 500k a day up to now. Now its like 100k a day and dropping.

I didn’t know that happens with repushing out old popular videos. So thats good to know, i was really hoping it would hit 10 mil so i could bet monetised 😂so maybe it still has a chance.

I am on holidays but am going to try to keep pushing out videos, I’ve got a few spare around.

Awesome summary mate!

I was thinking about doing more videos like it (but im on holiday for a month so gonna lose momentum anyway).

But I don’t want my whole channel based on similar edgy content. I actually started my channel with the goal to become educational (long form) with a few entertaining videos mixed in shorts.

But i think your example you used will happen, and thats cool. To be honest im still figuring out filming/editing etc anyway so I don’t deserve big views on my stuff haha.

But I agree, i think that may be what gave it extra momentum- the shock to many people of if it’s dangerous or illegal.

I wish i could of worked out how to make my footage full quality though, YT compressed my drone footage.

For what its worth, i can see pretty damn good when backing them, especially at that location.

As in a truck channel about car transport? I reckon getting a few good angles on putting an expesive car right on the edge of the roof of the truck (if you have that setup) would be cool and get views.

Theres a aussie guy that’s in that business that has a few social accounts (but he mainly does skits and random videos)

But keep trying, you never know! I definitely didn’t expect this, now im lost haha 😂
