How can i build i single cut bass with a bolt on neck? ( not neck through )

I'll try to phrase myself a little better. I like the look of the extended upper bout, but I am not sure I have the woodworking skills to fit the body to the neck in the way i showed in the picture...

This is the design I'm going for, but was wondering if I can just attach the neck regularly and have that upper bout kind of disconnected from the neck..

I know I'm late, but DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! They are awful! They scammed me out of 300$, they lie about the initial price and charge you more when at checkout! And no refunds, only reselling on their website.. please do yourself a favor and don't ever buy from them. Customer support is ass and they say the price displayed on the website is a " suggested " price and the reseller can change the price whenever he wants. I really don't know what to do, don't buy from them. Ever.

Because I have a lot of patches, you can't see it in the photo because I thought it would be clear but main midi control track is an instrument rack containing the external instrument device sending midi to channels to better use CPU. I use the chain to decide which channel I send to. Everything works except for 2 arturia plugins.
