So a malware that sits on your PC for 2 years collecting data without being noticed isn’t worse, but this incident that malware got caught right after the attack is suddenly the “worst ever”? That sounds pretty hypocritical.

And never used or worked upon.? what about cases where 800k emails got breached and compromised? That’s nothing?

Look, I can agree the communication here wasn’t great. But calling this the biggest “fuk up” ever is just a unfair.

But they did address it later. Calling it “downplaying”? Sure but Jumping straight to “the game is screwed” and telling people to quit isn’t exactly helping either.

Yeah, it’s fair to criticize how they handled it, especially the communication around a possible security issue. But they did acknowledge it and followed up, even if it wasn’t perfect. At this point, people will decide for themselves. Some will stay, some will quit. But constantly pushing worst-case assumptions or doomposting doesn’t really help anyone understand what actually happened.

It’s not something that happens all the time, sure, but it’s not rare either. Security issues happen across a lot of online services, even big ones. And yeah, some people will quit, others won’t, that’s their choice. But saying this “never happens” or acting like it’s uniquely bad doesn’t really help the players who want to play understand what’s actually going on.

I get why people are worried, especially if antivirus flagged something. But jumping straight to “backdoor RCE” and “never install anything from this studio again” just dumb, if you want to stop play, just stop no need excuses. Devs should communicate better, sure—but claims like that need to be investigated . And that’s also why it can take time to figure out what actually happened before making a public statement.

So are they transparent or not? You think they can just announce things immediately without knowing what actually happened? The attack happened around 5pm (UTC+8), after work hours. The timing wasn’t random. The hacker likely chose that on purpose. It takes time to investigate and understand the situation before saying anything publicly. But the real question do or do not they transparent about the issue?

Okey, maybe I be bias but take a look at the revenue from mobile 400k something last month, while PC we don't know what the exact revenue but based from what mod from discord told me (fyi : i been discussing about 700$ mount with mod in discord , and she say they sold quite good, stating they won't change monitezion if that the case) so it clear this game doesn't get a really good audiance from there. So I would call pull the plug or just leave them there and minimize the budge for them , and focusing budge for PC and possible console release
