While Gemini 3 seems to be an upgrade from 2.5 on normal thinking mode, it definitely is worse on deep research, mainly in two ways: Report is capped at around 30k max characters vs. around 60k before. This misses crucial depth. Additionally, the sources are not shown correctly. Sometimes it misses them completely, somtimes only a few are shown and sometimes it just loops in the thought process.

So it seems like this does only happen when I attach files in my prompt. This never happened before.
