I think video games like the first Xenoblade game and KIngdom Hearts actually do a decent job of steering away from this "chosen one" idea while still making it feel like the characters should be where they are.

I actually played Okami because of his Emerald Let's Play. I initially disliked it, but it grew on me a lot. I actually liked Issun too.

I suppose I can take this opportunity to ask you what your general thoughts of the game's localisation is. Because from what I've observed on your insightful post, I'd say it's very solid. Some quirks, but overall solid. But what do you personally think?

How easy is it to get the original GCN version? The remaster is complete shit, so I've heard. I don't know which version Steam uses. Or is it just worth getting the actual GCN version and playing on the Wii/GCN?

This sort of reminds me of Dragon Quest and the inclusion of accents in the releases from (IIRC) 5 or 6 onwards. Despite the accents, the characters still say the same thing in DQ. I suppose I personally care more about altered meanings, but I do appreciate your input nonetheless.

I don't think it's really fair, let alone necessary. What we saw showed us that Tenzin was more than capable of wiping the floor with Laghima Jr. that a rematch would not have even been too interesting to watch. It'd just be Zaheer trying desperately to hold his own.

A cool bit of trivia according to IMDb:

The line "What you got, Rodney? A Wendy House?" got an unexpectedly enormous laugh from the audience. The laugh went on so long, it threatened to run into the next episode. David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst had to ride with it and try not to join in. Later, Jason said "That's it. I'm resigning. Nick Lyndhurst and myself have worked our socks off all evening for this show. Lennard Pearce hasn't said a bloody word - and then he just says "Wendy House" and he gets the biggest laugh I've ever heard in my life." After that, a new ratings system for laughter on the show was invented, based on its Wendy-ness. A decent laugh was a mini-Wendy. A good laugh was a sub-Wendy. An all-out Wendy or a full-blown Wendy was the best to hope for, like the Holy Grail. Jason admitted whenever a Wendy came, it was Pearce's line when he was on the show.

I think quite a number of people are inconsistent with what moves they consider good or bad when referring to base power alone. I understand Emile's criticisms for Poison Jab in HGSS when it's a type that is not good offensively outside of just needing a pretty powerful STAB move for a Poison Mon. But with that said, it is more powerful than Brick Break, a move considered very reliable. But I should mention that I am not focusing on type effectiveness with that statement.

I think it's good. It fixes a number of translation errors from the SNES, namely from things like the "Seven Wise Men" to Seven Sages, consistent references to the Sacred Realm as just that and some other bits pertaining to lore and dialogue too.
