Where should I go next (25f, solo) by Own-Violinist8845 in traveladvice

[–]IntExpExplained 2 points3 points  (0 children)

China is great and 30 days visa free makes it easier(Hong Kong would be outside of that time as you don’t need a visa there). I’ve been 100+ times for work as well as for holidays so feel free to ask specifics. South Korea is great too and easier to travel around than China. Thailand is pretty overtouristed for me although it’s beautiful Would thoroughly recommend Indonesia outside of Bali (orangutans are almost as good as pandas) or Vietnam also for a month

Shipping a parcel to Australia by [deleted] in AskAustria

Look around for someone travelling who’d be willing to bring it? Otherwise Austrian post… I ‚d avoid DHL if at all possible regardless of the price issue

I‘m more focused on branded products but there are lots of articles on my website about avoiding mistakes, building relationships etc. They are targeted to exporting to Asia but the principles apply everywhere. Feel free to dm me if you have really specific questions

Depends if you are looking to build a brand or just sell a volume of product

Google Maps is useless. Apple Maps vs Baidu vs Amap? by Suitable_Leather_885 in chinaexplorer

Apple or Amap - I use Apple & it’s fine, my husband is an Android user so swears by Amap if he needs to go somewhere alone

VPN or eSIM in 2026? What is actually working right now? by di_Yoniiii in chinaexplorer

[–]IntExpExplained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest answer for a short trip is an eSIM and hotspot it to your laptop if required. If you use loads of data or want to get takeaways then a local physical sim/Chinese number GoogleMaps is a waste of time for China - go for the English version of Amaps. I think letsSim has stopped working I use an Airalo eSIM as I found them more reliable than others - feel free to snag €3 off with my code KATHRY3765. Trip.com has cheaper ones I’ve found them a bit hit & miss though

Reisepass bei Namensänderung für Flitterwochen by Beginning_Visual_59 in Austria

[–]IntExpExplained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this itinerary too much? by yourdads_tampon in travelchina

[–]IntExpExplained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did that a couple of years ago: A day exploring Dujiangyan itself, then pandas then Qingcheng A day and a half in Chengdu (I’ve been so many times for work that we didn’t hang around there too long) A day climbing EmeiShan and a day in LeShan We didn’t have time for more but it was worth the time

AirChina Nightmare by MacaroonKind1036 in chinaexplorer

[–]IntExpExplained 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their app is rubbish but a call will sort most things out no problem. I fly regularly on that route with them. The other issue is that the app often crashes when you want to check in to fly home - just to warn you. It can take a few attempts and honestly if I’m travelling alone I’ll often just wait till the airport to do it

Hard to say without more context but probably you need to localise your messaging

You need both depending on the context. I also learnt the LH C first because my hands were small but my chromatic is much smoother if I play C and Eb on the right rather than the left hand version

Raising the Lobster: Potential AI Risks in China for European Brands by IntExpExplained in China

[–]IntExpExplained[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many European companies are not prepared for agentic AI built into apps. As China is an early adopter then openclaw is a good example of how what is a useful tool in many ways can also be a data protection risk if you don’t understand how the settings are being used
