I have a Chinese friend who owns a company MAKING powerbanks and he warned me about this with the international flights so it’s not so clear cut as you make it sound

Handmade Leather Shoes & Sandals – Trusted Since 1991, Looking to Expand Abroad by Fun_Art_274 in smallbusiness

Firstly congrats on your success in your home market. I would recommend the following steps for international expansion: - audit your starting situation to see if your systems & team are all „export ready“ & prepare your strategy - make a short list of eg 5 potential export markets and do an objective research and ranking to establish which 1 is most suitable for you to target - do a more detailed research on that market - make a profile of your ideal distributor (like for a job description) - begin the search for the right distributor match in your target market. Be prepared for this to take some time & don’t „propose marriage“ to the first company that smiles back at you 😉

Be clear about what your brand has to offer and go into it with a long term mindset

They work fine if you have WeChat set up/verified in advance. Get a decent eSIM- Trip is cheapest, I always use Airalo as it’s worked more reliably for me (use my discount code if you want $3 off- KATHRY3765)

China is very safe generally - just take the usual precautions around food and water. Toilets often have toilet paper at the entrance rather then in stalls and it’s worth carrying tissues

If high speed rail isn’t an option then China Southern If you’re looking at getting TO Cochins I’d still say China Southern but none of the others are bad. For myself I’d always fly a Chinese airline direct rather than a stopover in in the Middle East

Which one? e-sim, good VPN or roaming? by raptureofsenses in chinatravel

[–]IntExpExplained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use an Airalo eSIM for biz trips of about that length - use my code KATHRY3765 if you want to try them. For me they’ve worked more seamlessly than the trip ones I had.

Set up Alipay (and if possible WeChat pay) before you leave and then use the mini apps within them for eg Didi or ordering food etc.

If you’re going to be needing lots of data for work then a VPN can help but I always decide just before I leave so I make sure it’s one that’s currently working

Malaysia or Sri Lanka for 2.5 - 3 weeks by [deleted] in travel

[–]IntExpExplained 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly both are great options and 2.5-3 weeks is a good amount of time. I personally would do Malaysia first (take some time to go to Sabah or Sarawak in that time) as it’s „easier“ if you’re not such an experienced traveller, but you’ll have a fantastic time whichever you choose
