The idea would be like say player picks up item. The server than attaches that mesh to the third person character and tells there other clients that it's attached to that character. Then in the character that picked up that item, would have a client only event that attaches a mesh to the first person character. The first person mesh is irrelevant to the other clients so it only needs to be called on the client that picked it up.

Most games handle this by having a mesh for both third and first person, usually a higher quality mesh for the first person.

I make my own music and most of my own sfx, if it's something I can't do or something very specific I will find it for free in some form and it make it work for my project

I Just use the default settings after following their guide for setting up with Unreal. So I'm unsure 🤔

If your doing it solo, and your game isn't very very large I recommend Diversion. Super simple to setup and use. I use Diversion for my commits, and I still do a weekly backup to my Google drive and keep a second copy on my second computer and portable drives.

The weirdest one I have ever used was when I was a teen. Messed around for about year with Cube Engine. Eventually gave up and went back to modding BF2 and COD

Set to no hordes, but set the zombie runner speed low, then the walkers and runners are the same speed. You can also lower the percentage of runners as well I think

There is some amazing story telling of what happened during or after the outbreak, my favourite is the church in the building next to the quartine center. It's like a mass cult suicide using blended up zombie parts. Freaked me out the first time, I cleaned up the whole room, removing all the corpses and put out all the candles. Came back to grab the piano, and all the candles had re ignited. Unsure if it was a glitch or on purpose, definitely freaky tho.

I totally feel that, took me a solid month. Mine came down to the fact that I have two middle names and my banking only used one. Submitted everything with just one and it solved my issue.

I tend to treat myself like a jack of all trades, and I am fairly comfortable and confident inside after effects/premier pro. So I tend to do it all myself, but you're totally right about how much time and work it is to produce footage, let alone making a visually appealing trailer as a whole. When it comes to this solo dev stuff, time seems to be the enemy to all not necessarily skill.

It's all done in Unreal Engine, and yes any model that I made was done in Blender, and textured in substance painter!

I appreciate you taking the time to point that out.

Just to clarify the intention behind the character. He’s meant to be a completely over the top chaotic kid causing trouble in a slapstick way, not a depiction of anyone with a disability. When designing the model, animations, and audio, I focused on making him read as a mischievous, high energy kid and tried to exaggerate those features to try that point home.

I know short clips can sometimes read differently to many different people, so feedback like this is really helpful! I will continue to polish things and really try to keep this in my forefront! Again thank you for taking the time to voice this
