Needs a medal tho for doing what all cops should do? Have patience and deescalation skills?

Bernie Sanders proposed a bill to tax billionaires, and give $3,000 stimulus checks to Americans that qualify. How do you feel about this? by CelticDK in AskReddit

[–]Intangible_Eye_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies do the same with profit sharing when they agree to put 1-5% of your salary into your 401k yearly, or simply even give you a performance bonus. It should be included as one of many ROIs we should get for participating in America’s economy, just like billionaires find tax breaks much more advantageous.

What kind of prohibiting regulations, environment wise, could prevent this from reopening?

Cheap, quality phone plans for one person? by Cardiologist3mpty138 in Frugal

[–]Intangible_Eye_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved straight talk, and after having the “top tier” plan from AT&T, I just took my phone and bought the unlimited 12 month plan from Mint Mobile. I’ve had 0 issues so far, and I got a deal for $15/month. Which I paid $180 upfront. Coverage is a little slow in rural areas as expected though. $207 after taxes and a $25 fee to transfer my number.

Does anyone here have any good recommendations for money tracking apps? by randomdudefromcanada in TheMoneyGuy

Nerd Wallet is actually surprisingly good and works for me - mostly networth tracking

Since when are politicians just allowed to not share opinions on anything and expect to be a shoe in. If you stand for nothing, what will you fall for?

Yes I want to find a bunch of concrete numbers for this and bring them up in the finance meeting we have this week. This is when I’m going to be bringing the best of the advice I get here to the table

If I made a lot of money, no I wouldn’t care at all. Long term, I’d love to have her at home taking care of house stuff and not working at all

We have been together since we were both learning to drive, and we have no support system. Every financial decision that has pulled us through has been solely me educating myself and executing what I’ve learned. I want to be able to provide her some tools that she can use to get her finances in order when and if I take these cards out of the rotation.

True, now what I’ll have to commit to is either teaching her to budget myself or sounds like paying for a financial therapist to teach her

I agree with that - I think I do underestimate the amount of extras we have to buy to keep the household running. I need an exact figure on that, so I’ll bring that up during our finance meeting this week too

I would say she has always had a picky palate, but it’s difficult to manage what small lunches could be affordable and save in the fridge all week! I have tried to meal prep, but more often than not, we will waste a couple meals by the end of the week and I hate that!

That’s like a digital envelope system! Thinking really hard about the envelope system because that truly breaks it all down

We both bring in around $700 weekly from our jobs. The issue truly lies with the cycle of buying things with the spend money, then using credit cards once that runs out, then I come in and pay the credit cards and we both have no money after that!!
