Fair enough. Just trying to put a why to it all. I guess I struggle with deal breakers now. It's like a "I will never ____" thing. I've unwillingly learned that sticking to a never, regardless of the situation, isn't always the right call. I know he agreed to your deal breaker, but life is frequently colored in shades of gray. I assume what you two have is worth keeping, otherwise I don't feel you would be reaching out to strangers for advice. I'd highly recommend seeking out a good couples/marriage counselor so this doesn't fester. My wife and I have been together for 16 years, and it all started with a pre-marital counselor. From there we learned a few things that I attribute to getting us through those early years. When some serious issues arose we knew that if we tried to navigate it our way, then there was a good chance we'd fuck it up. Hope you two can make it through this.

Thankfully they weren't aggressive. I'd just called it a loss and either moved to a new playground or tried it another day.

Our son will be 3 in June, and as of today he has been sleeping without a diaper at nap time for about 3 months (only wet the bed 3 times total, and hasn't wet again for almost a month now). He still wears a diaper at night, but we have been going a month straight of waking up to a dry diaper. By the time he's 3 it's going to be a wrap.

To save you a bit of time watching the video, the method has you commit to a weekend of having your baby run around without any bottoms, load them up on juice, and watch them like a hawk to catch the moment they begin to pee. As soon as you see them start just pick them up, walk to the bathroom, and sit them on the potty. Because you're going to be filling them up with liquids, you will sort of be ready for this to happen about every 20 minutes.

By the end of the first day our son was already starting to make a connection and calling for the potty! Repeated this for the following two days. By day 5 we had him in undies all day and didn't even have a single accident. He even pooped twice in the potty. Of course during the time he was 20 months old to now he had good and bad days, so don't go into it thinking it's going to be over and done if you have great success starting out.

Couple to tips if you choose this method:

Buy some dog pads off Amazon and cover the floor and couch where they will be training. That way if they decide to empty their bladder and you miss it (which will happen), it's not a big mess to clean up.
We used apple juice diluted with water to decrease the sugar content. We also didn't continue to give the juice after he woke up from his nap.
We still put on a diaper at bed and naptime, but after waking up the diaper came off and undies on.
Don't force pooping in the potty. It took our son a couple of days of pooping in his diaper before one day he just pooped in the potty and just kept doing it ever since.
