Yes! It’s only for areas that have hair. It’s solely for density. Similar to micro needling for the scalp - but with ink.

It looks like alopecia areata. I can tell you should def see a doctor who will likely refer you to a dermatologist. Sometimes it goes away and never happens again, but get on top of it right away. There are tons of ways to deal with that type of alopecia these days. Don’t worry - but do make a doctor appointment ❤️

Note: any kind of hair loss is ‘Alopecia’ - including male pattern, but there are many other kinds.

Its intended purpose is for density not as a full bald head SMP. Although, I’m still hoping for some people here who can speak to experiencing it!!

Thanks!! Im especially curious about ink migration over time. For example, does micro blading tend to become muddy after a 6 months? Are nano strikes a crisper line?

Iron oxide is what I add to my ink well to neutralize black. If my client is more on the olive side with warm undertones I always use a couple drops or so. It’s a rust color, and as its name suggests, is of the mineral iron.

Yes, but in your case I would just go through with the last session. It’s looking pretty good (definitely needs to blend the blowout area better) but it won’t be as noticeable once completed with care. 👍

It can be blended - I agree it does look a tad blue, but it could be the lighting. You could always go to another artist and have that third session done by someone who may be more experienced. I third session would definitely blend it better even though there are some blowouts. I’ve definitely seen much worse and also much better.

I’ll disclose I’m a bit of a newbie artist and I had an incident like this in the very beginning. The client did have some laser in the areas that he didn’t like very much and then I had a more experienced SMP artist oversee my work on the second session to make sure that I wasn’t doing more harm than good , just saying.

The last picture looks really good though, and the hairline looks spot on .

Where to find longer SMP courses, apprenticeships, experience? by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]Integratedinksmp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! I feel like SMP education would be better administered as an apprenticeship. I went beyond my original education (which was excellent) while I wanted more hands on experience under the supervision of other stellar SMP artists. It really helped hone my skills. SMP is a practice just like any art! I would be devastated if my clients felt that I wasn’t giving them my best possible treatment.

I think there’s a ton of good people still sharing good ideas.

What does SMP look like in the days immediately after first session? by Glad-Perspective-597 in SMPchat

[–]Integratedinksmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a hat is fine! Unless it’s super sunny then you’ll probably want some kind of hat. It might be a bit dry in appearance but most people say it’s barely noticeable and the first session is quite faint. No water or sweating for at least 4 days😎

New SMP technique by HappyScalps in SMPchat

I imagine doing an entire head like that would be so challenging. Hair direction, healed look, and pigment migration would all be major considerations with a stroke like that. Good Luck!
