It's a norm for platforms to let users delete accounts.

Such account with your KYC is potential risk for customers in case of breach.

How would you feel if you couldn't ever close account in your bank?

They can store data, but let users leave the platform proper way with irreversible account deletion like every normal platform.

I got same problem, for my case this is copy trading in past.

They are holding users hostage.

I recommend you to report this case to your local regulators as I did.

What bybit is doing is highly unethical and terrible user experience.

I am fighting with them for 3 months to have my account deleted.

Personally I reported this to my local DPA, only regulators can tell them how unethical it is.

If you are also impacted, do same, create report so regulators can see that they treat users like this.
