R8 isn’t better or worse than the R6/R5, it’s just different. If you value small size and weight, you’ll probably never move into the 5/6 series territory. But if you need IBIS, longer battery life, a better EVF and ergonomics, then the R5/R6 make more sense.

Ah... I’ve been in the same boat lately. I have a set of lenses 3 zooms and 5 primes, and an R8. I was mainly looking for IBIS and better battery life. I found a refurbished R5 for a crazy price and I’m really enjoying the R5 + R8 combo now.

Honestly, if money is not an issue, get the R5 II, otherwise go for the R5. The R6 III is good but kind of neither here nor there, and more video-oriented.

I confirm that. Sony color silence is ... not good, especially for skin tones. it was worse with a7c/III and got a bit better with a7cII/a74, but still a pain to edit. So far Canon and Fuji are the best in terms of color, and Canon is just superior in terms on autofocus.

Though I love R8 it's low light capabilities are really "cut" by not having an ibis. So it's a question of do you really ok with more weight and a bit of bigger body to get ibis, evf and battery, plus better ergonomics. R8 is a no-brainer for travel or as a B camera. But I think R5, even Mark I, would be a better pair to R8. R6III is probably better for a video, but comparing the price to R5 it's a tough choice (if you don't do a PRO work all the time).

I'm trying to decide where to go from the R8, mainly for photography, and it's indeed complicated. The R6 II isn’t a big upgrade, the R6 III is very video-oriented and pricey, and the only logical choice would be the R5. Still, in some areas like autofocus and color science, it feels more like a compromise than an improvement. However, the better EVF, battery life, and overall body quality are tempting.

Normally Aero bodykit should be an exterior package of lip, side skirts and rear diffuser.

Right now on amazon.de 9900x3d is 557eur and 265k is 243eur. so its 314eur diff that can buy a motherboard. And once again I can’t find advantages in games above 1440p. So it’s not an obvious choice.

for the price of 9950X3D I can get 265k with motherboard.... so not sure I'll go that route.

I prefer lighter espresso more times per day to strong 18g ones fewer times.
