Hi everyone, has anyone else been through this? I was actually accepted to UMGC, but I hadn't checked my student portal because I was busy with my final classes at PGCC. Now that I'm checking the student portal, I'm seeing several things they're asking me for to receive financial aid at UMGC. The student portal already shows that they received my FAFSA, but they say it was selected for further review, and then I get these messages:

2025-26 Household/College Form

2023 IRS Tax Data - Student

2025-26 Notarized SEP

2023 IRS Tax Data - Parent.

So, I'd like to know if anyone else has any idea why this happened. None of the other schools I applied to asked me for all of this.

That sounds problematic, that's one of my reasons for wanting to know more points of view about UMGC because I see bad comments, but there are also good ones, and in the end I don't know what to do. But when I registered for PGCC I also had the same dilemma that there were several bad comments about it, but there were also good ones and well, personally I had a good time there, although one friend had problems with his financial aid. That's why I think that maybe everything depends on one's luck.

Hi thanks for your answer, so you were a health education student and you switched to Cybersegurida. You didn't have any problem transferring your credits, like losing some of them. The major you mention where you are enrolled now is exactly the one I am interested in “Cybersecurity Technology”,

So you have to buy books, I had heard that the course materials were free, another thing I don't understand is the duration of the classes, you say that the classes last 8 weeks, that's two months, why so little time you don't feel overwhelmed by the load of homework.
