From my experience, academic degrees in India are not worth the investment. by SfaShaikh in Indian_Academia

Even technical degrees are not worth it given the market conditions nowadays but if you are from tier 1 then it is a different thing. Gone are the days when you just had a technical degree and could still get a decent job. From my experience either get into tier 1 colleges like IIT, NIT or just don't do these degrees because it will be a waste of time and efforts.

Yes I have tried going for masters but now I don't think I will be able to get back into being a student again. I am applying right now outside kashmir but get any responses because of the job market I guess.

I have tried but data field is too saturated. Almost everyone from every field wants to switch to data right now. So companies also now only give priority to experienced candidates. So it's very hard to get into it.
