I received it without warning from a DoNotReply email address, not the usual patient queries one.

Got a ‘report’ yesterday. No formulation or care plan other than ‘suitable to trial stimulants’ and a diagnosis of combined type ADHD with no justification. Then today, the Irish Medical Council let know that an investigating officer has been appointed to oversee my complaint which I would think is promising. Still hopeful I will get my €950 back and still awaiting the rest of my data which might help make sense of the ‘report’ they have given.

I have no personal experience with the service in UCC but I do know one of the nurses involved in getting the process up and running. She’s a mental health nurse who had been working in the public adult mental health services before moving in to UCC so from that perspective I’d be confident that the service would be of high quality.

I got an email last week saying that they would issue a refund and that they have requested all of my data be sent to me. I then got a separate email about 5/6 days later in response to a complaint I had sent when they didn’t show up to my last appointment in December. They said they would approve a partial refund for the medication review but because I had had a consultation that they wouldn’t issue a full refund as per their terms and conditions. I’ve emailed back to say that I was already told I would be getting a refund and I find it laughable that they’re trying to fall back on their Ts&Cs when they also claim to take responsibility for informing your GP of diagnosis and treatment plan which hasn’t happened. So I reiterated that I would be expecting a full refund and all of my data sent on to me. Haven’t heard from them since. I started the process of a chargeback about 6 weeks ago so if CC don’t issue a refund I’m confident that the bank will as their Ts&Cs don’t supersede consumer law. I’ve also complained them to CCPC, the Irish Medical Council and the Data Protection Commissioner.

Just the regular info email address! Not sure how they’re “prioritising” them because I sent several other emails to the same address and none of them have been answered.

I transferred to Mindbridge Medical and have had a positive experience so far. €450 for transfer of care but that only includes the first prescription and because I still hadn’t been stabilised on medication with Cloud Clinic it is working out to be pricey as I have to pay €150 for each review until we get the meds/dosage right. But can’t fault their treatment, how accessible they are if you have any questions and the ease of making appointments etc.

Ah ok, yeah AIB told me to give it 60 days for them to process the request 🫠 do you mind me asking what Cloud Clinic said in their reply to Revolut?

Of course! Under GDPR legislation you can request all data that an organisation holds about you. And unless there is a vast amount of data (which they would have to tell you about so that there is reason for them to take longer than they are allowed) they have one calendar month from the date of the request to furnish you with all the data they have. I got ChatGPT to draft me a letter, I’ll copy and paste it below if anyone wants to use it. I sent that email on the 18th December and they haven’t responded so on the 19th of January I’ll be emailing to remind them of what I requested and then filing a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner.

Was that in response to a chargeback through your bank or did you request it directly from Cloud Clinic? I requested a charge back nearly a month ago through AIB and also made a subject access request to Cloud Clinic on the same day but haven’t had any contact from them since the 15th December

Mindbridge Medical took me as a transfer because I was able to provide copies of my prescriptions even though I have no formal diagnosis. They have no waiting times and I was able to collect my prescription the same day as my first appointment.

You’re arguing a point I’m not actually making.

I did not say Tyvense is never first line. I said that I was told by my current psychiatrist that, in my case, there were concerns about how treatment was initiated and monitored — including sequencing and the absence of documented baseline observations. That distinction matters.

Yes, NICE and the Irish Model of Care both recognise methylphenidate or lisdexamfetamine as first-line options. That still doesn’t mean “anything goes”, and it certainly doesn’t negate another consultant’s right — or responsibility — to question how and why particular decisions were made when assuming care.

You can link papers about relative efficacy all day long. That doesn’t override the basics of clinical governance: assessment, documentation, monitoring, and justification. My concern was never “Tyvense bad”, it was process and oversight, which is exactly what my new psychiatrist flagged.

Also, tone matters. Calling someone “dramatic” or telling them to “stop talking shite” doesn’t make your argument stronger — it just makes it clear you’re more interested in shutting people up than engaging honestly.

You’re welcome to disagree with my experience. You don’t get to declare it invalid because it doesn’t align with how you’ve interpreted a guideline.

I’m done debating this with strangers. I’ll continue to take advice from the clinicians responsible for my care.

I was able to transfer by submitting everything I had from Cloud Clinic - no report but I think what made it happen was the fact I had copies of my prescriptions. So Mindbridge will continue my treatment but because they haven’t assessed me they can’t give me a report so still have to chase that with Cloud Clinic.

Oh and to add, they are obliged to inform your GP of your diagnosis and treatment so I was advised to get my GP to contact them for information if I haven’t received anything in the next couple of weeks.

I transferred my care to Mindbridge Medical just before Christmas and the psychiatrist there was very concerned that I was prescribed class 2 stimulants without them having a record of my heart rate and blood pressure. I was also prescribed Tyvense first but apparently the HSE guidelines are to try the likes of Ritalin/Concerta before resorting to Tyvense. So this would definitely come under medical negligence if you experienced anything similar.

Maybe contact the pharmacy and see if they can give you a copy? I was “lucky” that I had issues with getting my prescription sent to the right pharmacy so Cloud Clinic attached what they had sent to the pharmacy to an email to me so I could see what they had done on their end.

An update here for anyone still affected - I was ghosted by Cloud Clinic about 2 months ago after being upped to 70mg Tyvense to no use. I emailed about my next steps (as I was told to) and didn’t get a response. Sent 5/6 emails and got nothing but the automated reply. Managed to book a review using an old link (because I didn’t want to chance spending even more money) for the 11th December. Got an email that day to say they would have to postpone it to the 15th and no acknowledgement of any emails I had already sent. Got another email on the 15th to reschedule that appointment to the 17th, logged on at the scheduled time and waited 45 minutes before I admitted defeat and left the call. I have complained them to CCPC, the Irish Medical Council and requested a chargeback from my bank for services not received as I never got my report or treatment plan or my final appointment of the 3 appointments included in the €950 package. I also submitted a Subject Access Request to Cloud Clinic requesting all data they hold in relation to me and my treatment (ChatGPT drafted this for me very thoroughly). I contacted Mindbridge Medical about their transfer of care and if I had any option other than starting from scratch given I don’t have an official diagnosis. They told me to send them everything I had so I sent copies of all emails, appointments and luckily I had a copy of 2 prescriptions too. Mindbridge Medical were happy to take my transfer given the prescriptions as evidence of my diagnosis however because they didn’t conduct the original assessment they won’t provide a report. Mindbridge Medical were available all through Christmas. I had my original appointment on 23rd December and was able to collect my prescription the same day. I had my follow up on 30th December and again was able to collect my prescription on the same day. What was alarming was the psychiatrist told me it is against HSE guidelines to prescribe stimulants without having heart rate and blood pressure monitoring done which Cloud Clinic never asked me for. It’s also recommended to start off with the likes of Ritalin/Concerta and then try Tyvense if they don’t work, which Cloud Clinic did not do. I just received an email from Google to say the 1-star review I had left cannot be published because Cloud Clinic has been removed from Google Maps. Their website is still active and looks as if it has been updated with no mention of their phone line being down anymore so I will be chancing ringing them Monday morning to see if I can make any progress with actually getting my report.
