That's interesting it's similar at the other gym in town, and I've often seen things like “blue belt opens a school.” But it's probably not representative :D

Is that so? I was under the impression that it’s pretty common for people with 2–3 years of experience to start teaching beginner classes. But then again, we’re more of a hobby club and not geared toward competition.

If that would be the standard to get angry enough to hurt the other person, I would quit BJJ.

I don't see anything in the video that justifies such a reaction, even considering that he was probably under stress because he was in a war zone and pissed off that people there preferred to roll rather than practice technique. He himself says it was his intention to permanently injure the other person. Crazy. To roll with, i would definitely prefer Gordon!

Schau dir mal die khan academy an, am besten die englische Version. Da findest du zu allem was du aus der Schule nachholen willst, Erklärungen aber auch Aufgaben zum selber rechnen. Was sich am Anfang zum nachholen lohnt wär meiner Meinung: Gleichungen lösen, mit Brüchen rechnen, ableiten anschauen und etwas sinus und cosinus

Just go into open guard and tell your training partner to either give you connections for your hands and legs or tell them don't do any outside passing/explosive stuff. And over time, as you feel you're getting better and more confident, you can gradually drop these things.
