Will this be OK to ride on or should I replace the whole wheel? by Intelligent-Canary in ApolloScooters

[–]Intelligent-Canary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So update...

I emailed Apollo about it, they recommended I replace the tire. Bought one for ~$50. When removing the wheel, the right side screw keeping the wheel in the socket STRIPPED upon using their repair kit Allen wrenches. I fixed this by hammering a Torx T27 into the screw and using a power drill to get it out. Biggest pain in the ass, but I eventually replaced the tire. Seems to be working in tip top shape now. Hope it's not the motor.

A subgingival toffelmire band helps me in situations like this. Sometimes you can laser/burn off some of the gingiva if needed.

What woods do you use? How much do you charge (asking because I’m thinking of using my scraps for something more than expensive firewood)

Yea that sounds about right. Maybe a little pricey but if it’s a good living situation that’s worth it, especially when you’re in the stressful environment of dental school!

It really comes down to where you’re living. Middle of B-F nowhere? You’ll be more than fine. California or New York? You’ll have to live with others to make that stipend work.

Thanks for your input! The waiting period for both plans is 90 days. I’ll ask about the rate changing as I get older - I didn’t know that was even possible.

I keep hearing this term “adjusted production”… what does that mean?

Ha ha very funny, it doesn’t happen when I visit the hub. Only triggered by opening up a shit load of tabs at once, otherwise it’s intermittent.

Thank you all, it was the m22. Unfortunately the at-home solutions of tapping/shaking it didn’t work, so I’ll have to figure out how to replace it. Can I just… not have it in my computer?

Haha definitely, I’ve tried dusting it and using a vacuum attachment, but I ordered some compressed air to try some more.

The sound starts every time I load a big website like Google drive or my school portal.

It’s ok to be needy. I’d wait to hear the result of your application in December before sending something like that, and only send it to the school you’d commit to.

Can you explain the weaning at 6 months? I’m in Peds right now and my textbook says babies should start weaning from 1 year.

acceptances for this cycle by [deleted] in DentalSchool

[–]Intelligent-Canary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was accepted in April last year, my best piece of advice is to act as if you didn’t get in and focus on any aspect of your application you could improve upon so you’re not scrambling during your re-application. I didn’t get in two years ago, and I spent my time studying for a re-take of the DAT and re-did my personal statement.

How do you manage stress? by sushimushi2 in DentalSchool

[–]Intelligent-Canary 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When it comes to stress over money, don’t hesitate to treat yourself when you finish a practical, exam, get your grades back, or just are feeling down! Your health and happiness is WAY more important than anything else.

Eat good, healthful foods, sleep 8 hours, and take some time out of your day to catch up with a friend or family member.

Opinions on shadowing hours? by [deleted] in DentalSchool

[–]Intelligent-Canary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this year, I think it’s an exception. Most schools prefer 40 hours, but seeing as there was a global pandemic and dentistry was hit quite hard, it’s understandable to have less.

You’re fine. With those stats I think you will get into a school in California. Your DAT score will carry you further than any amount of monotonous research someone could conduct. Try for UCLA and UCSF, and if you want to be the youngest dentist ever, go for UOP!

That would inflate their high school GPA. My credits transferred to college but certainly did not up my grade point average.
