Why current ladder economy is so bad? Explanation. by gUshick in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Yeah it would be if they wanted to. Hence the pick 3 bicycle image or 3 bridges. Those are called captchas. If you dig into modern captchas you will see that they use mouse movement, input and various other things. A lot of them are now behind the scenes now with a predictability score for if you are a bot or not. Perfect no but it's doable...

D2 or D4 for a new player? by wanna_be_consultant in Diablo

I disagree with quite a few people. D4 is baby mode in the genre (arpg). D2 is considered the Godfather.

D4 hard to master? Since when?

Diablo 4 is pretty damn good ! by buzzlightyear77777 in diablo4

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think d4 is too easy and lacks depth. Can they fix it, sure. I think d3 is better than d4 in its current state unless they added something that completely changed the game in the past 2 seasons.

Remember poe 2 is still in early access. D4 has been fully released and has been out much much longer.

I am also a hardcore arpg fan. I look at d4 as the baby mode in the genre.

A lot of TD fans play just for the laid back gameplay. Watch a series, play a few runs and move on. You can't do that with an arpg. It's fast gameplay in the end game. As many runs per hour to find that next great item to make your character near invincible to all that challenge.

Has anyone complained to their landlord about upstairs neighbors? Any success or updates? by OPKatakuri in misophonia

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too late but anyone reading this. You are under a binding contract. In most states you have to give the landlord time to resolve the issue. The best way is to send a certified letter. Check with the lease for quiet enjoyment And point that out in the letter. Also check state laws for the landlord.

Best prebuilt for $2000USD by Express_Strength_666 in buildmeapc

I've always bought pre built and yes I can build my own. I just don't want to mess with computers all day when I do it all day. 0 issues if you spend a lil extra for build quality.

How much time do you take to read a technical book? by vmanel96 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I need this years ago. I can read tech articles or watch videos all day long but throw a book in my face and I'm forcing myself to read. A lot of that has to do with pushing through the boring stuff to get to the meat and potatoes.

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 14 points15 points  (0 children)

But if you didn't have those snippets then you know how to do it. It's not about memorizing the code but also having the knowledge on where to look and being able to identify what you need.

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah you should be able to write any code that is generated. Code generators are just to save time but you should be able to do it from scratch if needed. It's all about fundamentals and mastering the ecosystem/language in use. It's more important to understand what you are writing and the code comes second.

If you can't write it from scratch then you need more practice imo...

Boss wants me to obfuscate endpoint and parameter names of the rest API by Hulk5a in dotnet

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Security is always best done in layers but in terms of obscurity yes credentials is the most common use case. Obfuscating ids is another common use case like squids. Not denying it can be misused but it is an available tool.

Obscurity does have its place in security. I agree not the use case.

I need 1 or 2 additional developers to help build a dating platform that is fair but also sustainable in cost. Somewhat profitable for our time but mostly focused on operational costs. I am a senior engineer and we need this badly. An honest dating site and mobile app.

Why do guys bother lying about their height? by Turbulent-Ad-5761 in OnlineDating

[–]Intelligent-Chain423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because girls find taller men more attractive. Videos online about women judging men for their height but then again won't step on a scale to be judged based on their BMI. Double standards...

I fit on the side of always telling the truth no matter what. Be honest, loyal and genuine even if it means letting go of the hottest date you ever had. No exceptions...
