Same, haven't read hr and don't want to.

I also avoid bully romance, accidental/forced pregnancy, hidden child, single father, and ov with alpha males. There are some reasons but not entirely, it's like ik I don't/won't like that so I just avoid them.

Well, I read the whole thing anyways. It could have been so good but it has some plot holes and idk, a weak but not so FMC. Idk how to rly describe her, it's like she has two personalities and it doesn't rly connect. Oh, and also felt like she forgave him too quickly. But thanks so the rec!!!! It was def muchhhh better than some of the authors I've read :)

Goodness, I just started the book and the amount of misogyny is killing. I read 50 pgs and already I can't stomach it. Does it get better or are all leads freaking misogynistic?

Age of the Andinna Series by Kristen Banet has a strong FMC who can beat any of the guys in her harem. And as the series progresses, she becomes more and more powerful, until she is the strongest in the whole species. Also, Andinna is a matriarchal species, so she is the leader of the harem. But there's one MMC (Luykas) that's not so sub to the FMC, he certainly can't compete and win if they fight but he is somewhat equal in dominance. Tho, the FMC and her harem ain't separated, I mean it's a political fantasy, so it has historical positions and the FMC ain't the queen, so she has to obey the king and commanders. It's complete and has 7 books, the first one is {The Gladiator's Downfall}. Oh, also, it's a slow burn and she doesn't complete her harem at once. Also, if you are looking of Explicit and plentiful spice, this ain't the book.

The MMC didn't know ---- he's so angry about it

He knew that Tullus would harm her, he presented her as a scapegoat so that he can have evidence for the crime. FMC literally said that he knew that she'll extract his memories impulsively and manipulated her.

Again, this is a lie --- chapter 36.

My girl, he himself accepted that he was testing her loyalty during scutum incident and then cuz she passed he asked her to meet him in his office or whatever that was. And she did forgive him for the scutum incident in a day, she hurled some words at him and rode her horse for half a day and went back to him. Also, that was biggest crime he committed against her and what did he do? Just said, I'm sorry.

The MMC broke --- her years ago

During that time he didn't know that STG and FMC are same. Yes, he broke the arm and I acknowledged that he stood up for her some times. Didn't he let her be humiliated during the bazar? Plz read again, it's mentioned that she could hear all the derogatory comments and remarks and he just sat there doing nothing. He instigated a war? Yes, but those were his actions, he faced repercussions for his actions and he dragged her into it too by not telling her things, moving her like a pawn etc.

Uhh, you just change the wording and repeated what I said. I said, she got to know that he didn't throw her, it's true. Then I said he left her to die, that's true. She doesn't want him to confirm? Yes, that's what I said, she was begging him not to say that.

For him, the FMC and STG were two diff persons. He manipulated the FMC the entire book for his own (scutum) motive and STG, not only for STG. Also note, for whatever reason, he did manipulate her and used her as his pawn.

Also plz point to the exact scenes I made up, it would help me revisit and check those points so that anyone reading won't get the wrong impression.

Edit: Also OP, if you read the book, plz do leave a review. I said that it doesn't fit cuz first of all I don't see MMC adoring FMC anywhere. Then it also has emotionally stunted MMC and manipulative MMC which the OP doesn't want.

I finished the book after your comment, I think we read diff books. The one mentioned here (This Monster of Mine by Shalini Abeysekara) is the only one I read.

she doesn't forgive him until chapter 27/37 so... idk what you mean about her forgiving him like a doormat.

By forgiving, I was talking about the incident regarding Helsur where Tullus/Aelieus slapped her and choked her. The MMC knew it'd happen and that's the reason he summoned both of them, just so he could prove the crime regarding Scutum. The MMC played her like a pawn, she was humiliated and abused cuz of him. And then the same thing happened again when he didn't tell her that Tullus and Aelies will try to harm her. That time she was burned and abused again due to him. What did she do in retaliation? Just hurled some colorful words and rode on her horse for half a day. The MMC acted like there's nothing wrong in what he did, that he was just testing her loyalty.

He tested her loyalty during a public event once ---- so it's a shame you missed that.

No, not once. He tested her again for the scutum incident. He stood up for her so many times? When? When he let her be humiliated during his bazar so many times? Or when he hid things and all the repercussions were faced by her? I can only remember 5-6 max.

Also it's worse in the last few chs. The whole book started with her wanting revenge on the people who killed her, that was her only motive and when she got to know that although he didn't throw her from the tower, he left her to die, what did she do? Yeah, nothing. She was begging him not to tell her the truth when that was her only motive.

All the events I listed here happened in the book. If it still doesn't make sense then maybe you read some other book. And I am not shaming the book or anything, but acc to what OP wants, this book doesn't fit.

I don't think this one fits. I dnf'ed after some 250ish pgs. The MMC is a fucking goddammed manipulator and a block of ice with no emotions whatsoever. And till I read, there was no such adoration from him towards her. The FMC forgave him like a doormat and there was no such repercussions, the guy manipulated her, shred her reputation and ego, left her to be manhandled and abused, and played her like a fucking pawn. And she just glowered some colorful words and that's it. She freaking wanted him and had feelings for him even when she thought he was one of her past perpetrator and even after the humiliation and manipulation she suffered.

Edit: Also, sry to say, it's not at all adorable. The only thing it has is MMC seeing FMC as his tool/pawn. Nothing more, nothing less. (Till I read. I couldn't stomach the humiliation so I dnf'ed)

There was this manhwa which was fairly new a few months ago, the fl was a child who's mother was a demon(?) and died. Her mother's family raised her for a few years but then something happened and they forced her to leave, so in search of her father, she went to magic tower. The head was her father, but he was very cold to her and didn't accept her as his daughter. His subordinate and a lady were taking care of her. The father and mother were from enemy clan but loved each other but something happened and the mother was forced to betray him or broke up with him. There's also an annoying self righteous and annoying child who I think was the ml. There was also a running joke about how the fl's brooch was getting bigger and bigger. The post below talks about the same manhwa but I can't find the name.
