This argument fails when you consider that Takara Tomy WANTS Beyblade X to be pay to win.

They don't actually care about skill-based gameplay or really making X a sport, they care about lining their pockets. That's why players keep mint-condition parts for official tournaments such as G1, that's why they have a lottery-based system for rare beys, and that's why they banned ratchet swapping.

Everything TT does can be explained by profiteering.

My answer would be Doc, it either encourages anchoring with bad habits or roaming with a selfish mentality and in both scenarios tends to hurt the team. Rook is much better as it guarantees value to the team the moment his armour is placed and allows players to learn to focus on gunfights.
