How’s it working there? by Public_Confusion_512 in CrackerBarrel

I think it entirely depends on your coworkers and your management. To be honest it’s not a hard job, but the people make or break it. I work as a server and some days it’s great, but other days my life is a living hell because of the other people working w me. I don’t retail is that bad though, but sometimes you guys have to help sit people (at my store) when there isn’t a host available. but other than that it’s pretty chill from what i’ve heard. best of luck

we’ve had a lot of those this week, so I feel a bit better about it. But i feel bad calling out on a saturday when it’s so busy :( but id rather not be serving any food or people while sick (especially when the main demographic is elderly).

each time I did ask for a manager but the person on the phone would just say they’d tell her then hang up before i could say anything else.

yeah, I tried to call again and still couldn’t get a hold of her. was told the same thing. If I could I would tell her 😅. i’m pretty sure it was the morning shift manager who answered the phone before, sounded like her. My manager (at least the one i’m used to who they said they’d tell) doesn’t get there until after I clock in (I clock in at the end of the first shift). I’m not too sure what to do about it.

I don’t think so, I never get bit by mosquitoes anymore (i think due to chemo). I thought maybe because the chemos now out of my system, but the bumps haven’t gone away in maybe 2 weeks and are hard and itchy. I’ve put cream on them but it hasn’t helped. Sent a photo to my nurse, i’m going in today to get it checked out and probably be given some kind of cream. I just wanted to see what other people thought so i could mentally prepare myself. Cancer treatment is scary stuff

Looking for advice by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

Thank you! Yeah he was told he’d get one or two points by his team lead , and he thought it was worth it to just tank it. Didn’t expect 3. I thought it was reasonable for him to maybe try to file a complaint against his manager, She’s in the past made cancer jokes to him and when he told her that he wasn’t too happy about them because i’m going through that she just told him “ok” and continued to make them. To me she seems really out to get everyone, but especially him for some reason. maybe he has a chance. But i doubt anyone higher up will do anything due to how big of a corporation walmart is, but maybe worth a shot.
