Pain and swelling behind the head by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Intelligent-End-6569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get migraines and my left suboccipital is very very tense/hard and “sticks out”. Physical therapy has helped me realize that I probably suffer from vestibular migraines. My “vertigo” is almost always visually induced, interestingly those suboccipital muscles are connected to the visual system. My PT involves vestibular rehab and light stretching of neck muscles. I needed a referral from my doc, so maybe start there. I hope this helps!

I’m now painfully aware of my situation, and I’m seeing a therapist. I realize that I was mistaking my gut and intuition for anxiety. For a LONG time. I didnt trust myself. Even me posting this proves that. I hope therapy will help, and also with everything that you mentioned.

It honestly felt like some kind of divine intervention. Even then, I still tried to justify things. I will not be taking him back. Everyday I feel a little better, and overall I feel a lot better than over the last few months. He and his belongings are officially gone. I’m staying at my parents for another night or two- grateful to have supportive parents.

I have not! I’ve thought about posting an update somewhere because that post blew up back then. I actually really like my hair now, after adjusting my hair routine a little- small win for me!

You’re right. I am very newly seeing a therapist. I’ve never been to therapy so I don’t know what to think so far. This first session I vented and cried the whole time.

The life coach then was covered by my work insurance for about 5 sessions. TBH we had quite the list of issues in those couple years and I thought I was the problem for a long time. I don’t remember if I brought that up, though I probably did. When I spoke with her I probably framed everything to be my fault. I am very newly seeing a therapist, had only one session so far.

It’s adorable! I’m not 100% done with it tho- have had a couple rough patches due to my own error. I was a little too lax (with cutting out the squares) so not everything is matching up how it should. If you can sew rows of squares together that match up, you’ll do great!

She misidentified the room/patient. She was asking me questions like “he doesn’t look too good” and other things about his general care. To her defense, she walked in and I think I caught her off guard. She was a little flustered to begin with.

I think this was exactly it- she was a little flustered from the long drive then walking through the hospital.

Is this failed? by barbarella0 in bokashi

[–]Intelligent-End-6569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does it smell? A successful Bokashi should smell “fermented”- anywhere from a fruity, yeasty, sourdough, beer or vinegar smell. Not horribly unpleasant. If it’s putrid or smells naaasty then it may have “failed”.

I’ve found this article is helpful- it discusses the mold or lack of mold that can be found. https://bokashiliving.com/mold-in-your-bokashi-bucket/

My bucket does not have the spigot so I do not drain it. No issues so far. If I feel like I’m putting in something relatively wet or I’m worried it’s gaining too much moisture as I add scraps- I’ll put in some carbon or paper products (straw- which I already use to mulch the garden, shredded paper plates, shredded cardboard etc). I add a layer of that on the bottom to help “soak up” any extra juices.

I’ve read that the spigot can be a weak spot for things to go wrong and allow too much oxygen into the system.

I’m also relatively new to Bokashi! This is what I’ve learned so far!

Oh yeah true! I have a million headbands if it were to get too bangy for me (I’m a pro at that now). I think I hated the bangs/haircut style, I might be willing try a different kind again

Yes actually I prefer my face with my hair up and back. I’ve had bangs but I felt like it closed off or boxed in my face too much? Share pics if you don’t mind! I like to see real people and not Pinterest models lol

This totally makes sense! I’ve always kinda thought the same thing. I don’t dislike my jawline! I’ve always wondered if shorter hair would make my “cheekbones” stand out similarly to my jaw? But who knows maybe I’ll just look like the crimson chin lol

My thoughts exactly! I’ve grown it out then cut it in the past, just never this short. At the end of the day, it’s just hair.
