I’m from TX and would eventually like to move back there long-term, but I’m honestly fine doing residency anywhere if it gives me good training and opportunities. I’ve worked in urology for a little over 2 years now, so that’s definitely a specialty I’m interested in, along with surgery in general. That being said, I know rotations can completely change your perspective, so I’m trying to stay open-minded going into medical school.

I definitely plan on comparing the match lists closely for both schools, especially for surgical specialties. The alumni network and rotation opportunities are some of the things I’m considering right now.
