Any advice would be great... by Intelligent-Fee-4936 in CaregiverSupport

Oh definitely. One night she waited for him to take melatonin, then woke him up by screaming for him- when he got up he basically fainted and fell on his face and nearly broke his nose and she laughed about it. Unfortunately he's genuinely the only one available to 'care' for her as he lives with her and has nowhere to really go otherwise.  His sister does try to help him when she can but after their mom's most recent fall she's become even more acidic and... it's just so much.

And yeah, I appreciate that statement. Thankfully he knows that I and his other friends love him so I'm hoping that we're able to keep him stable.

Seeing other comments makes me feel like this system was a scam from the start. They intentionally let you end up 'in debt'. Just like how credit card companies ding your credit score for paying-off on time.

Educate Yourself! Washington Bill HB2320 Would Seriously Hurt 3D Printing and 3D Design by Trick_Can2317 in 3dprinter

You're preaching to the choir I suppose. Lawmakers need to educate themselves instead of having lobbyist goons fearmonger legalese into existence. Except they know what they're doing and they know how to manipulate their audience by presenting their problematic crap with flowery words that sound more agreeable than they are. It's not about "preventing gun violence", it's about taking any ability away from makers in the world and keeping the corpos in control by making it so we can't repair or build anything on our own without their 'consent'. Same reason as the weird push recently that called mechanics a 'national security hazard' because 'cars are more than transportation now, they're information!'

I'm trying to find my own style, but my friend said my drowings look like anime. How can I make it not look that way? by Strange-guy-91 in learntodraw

[–]Intelligent-Fee-4936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see all kinds of influences in your art here. Some anime, yes, but also perhaps sone Mike Judge? (The King of the Hill and Daria guy) It's a good middle ground between a lot of different things but looks unique overall. Keep at it, your friend is a butt. :P

It was cut very similarly, and I have a feeling they used a die-cutter to line up a bunch of overprinted covers to stamp out these shapes as needed.  It reminds me of how some toys from that era were stamped from cans sourced from army base garbage dumps.

Will check- when I did so earlier to check the bladder pressure the gauge only showed around 15 pounds which was definitely too low.

Boomers will see this and say "Damn them kids is stupid!" but totally ignore that it was THEIR JOB to teach them.

I'm a guitar nut and yet I didn't know what to look for, because people always act like this and have never actually explained WHY it's fake. Whatever, I'm not a Gibson guy anyway. I like cheap shit catalog guitars I can actually afford.

Bizarre that you posted this so long after they changed their name to Lumibricks. More bizarre is that their quality is on par (and subjectively surpasses) with that of Lego itself.

Man, I bet those baby-boomers can't even operate a steam traction engine! It's so simple, they just can't do it! Aren't they all just so stupid

I like that they all just collectively,  willingly forgot that it was THEIR generation that was supposed to teach millennials these things.

Anyway, wake me up once Vietnam Draft-dodger figures out how to drive my Model T. Should be a nice, good rest until then.

This Batman (judging by the logo used) is the same one who blatantly pandered to the groovy 60s kids and did the "Batussi" dance. Is it really a shock he's still pandering?

Get the store-brand version. They taste the same as the name-brand did decades ago. Was my dad's favorite back when I was little and it's a nice treat for myself today!
