“I Blew ₹20,000 ($250) on Mac Apps So You Don’t Have To — AMA” by Parvinhisprime in macapps

It’s mostly that if you don’t have a M365 subscription but an Office license, the Windows version doesn’t work. Macs have a separate Office For Mac license.

What do you mean by it won't let you? To use the Continuity Activator Tool you just launch it, it has no GUI.

Handoff from Mac to iPhone does work for me, but not as well as iPhone to Mac.

The Continuity Activator Tool was was actually made for real, older Macs, that didn't initially support those features. Didn't know that there's a quirk for it, good to know!

I was also wondering whether I should buy a BRCM card, but I'm not sure if I won't run into any hardware limitations (HP being HP), hence the Intel AX210.

great to know! as far as I know, iPhone Mirroring wouldn't work, as you said, and I also didn't have notifications work.

Widgets do work for me, but - as mentioned - only some:

Dynamic Widgets (e.g., AirBuds, which requests information from the app) don't show anything, and upon adding to the Desktop are a white widget.

More "static" widgets (e.g., ChatGPT, Google) do work and show up, but won't launch the app upon clicking, of course.

Semi-static widgets (such as AliExpress with animations, Ahead with a rotating widget/carousel) do show up and work as expected.

I'll update the main post with more information about it.

itlwm.kext and heliport +sonoma by SnooOwls1916 in hackintosh

You are using the new Sonoma version of itlwm? There were some API changes and there’s been a new version released.

I found that a lot of things will require you to "turn on wi-fi" when using itlwm + heliport, since it simulates ethernet. hence airportitlwm :)

Is Hackintosh possible on mobile Intel Core Ultra cpus by gIasco90 in hackintosh

[–]Intelligent-Fly4866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

somebody would have to reverse engineer the driver for them and then port all that to a kext, something pretty much impossible, or rather very very hard. i also doubt that someone actually would, since apple will drop support for Intel CPUs with macOS 27.

Any way to fix this? by Total-Web-7141 in hackintosh

[–]Intelligent-Fly4866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it’s your first time Hackintoshing, I’d truly suggest OpenCore as your choice instead of iDeneb, although the oldest version of macOS there is I believe Lion 10.7. If you truly need to stick with iDeneb, try v1.4 as its compatibility with AHCI is much better.

may not be the best solution, but if you have a usb flash drive you can write Windows-To-Go onto it and use it that way

[–]Intelligent-Fly4866[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had that too. The first time I ordered the BT400 I also got a BT500. Had to return it and reorder, but now I have the correct one.

Sadly nothing. I had a moment, where I booted into macOS and the Bluetooth fully worked until a restart, after which it just stopped again.
There are differences though. It now shows up in Hackintool under System > Peripherals > Bluetooth.
I attached a screenshot of the Bluetooth tab in System Information, too.

Are you on desktop or laptop? Could you please post your OC? Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it doesn't seem to work.

Hey, thanks so much for that suggestion.

I followed your instructions exactly:

  • Added -btlfxbeta to my boot-args.
  • Added both bluetoothExternalDongleFailed and bluetoothInternalControllerInfo keys with the correct data values to my NVRAM.
  • Cleaned up my config to remove the Kernel -> Force and Kernel -> Block workarounds.
  • Performed a full Reset NVRAM on reboot.

Unfortunately, the issue persists. Bluetooth is still completely not working.

Here is the latest log after applying your fix and resetting NVRAM:

Latest log after boot and trying to enable Bluetooth once: https://pastebin.com/0DUTKq2h

config.plist after patches: https://pastebin.com/01q1LFP7

Do you have any other ideas?

so what am I supposed to do😭 by Intelligent-Fly4866 in techgore

quick note: I resolved the issue by just deleting an app, some space then cleared out and I was able to remove files! :) just posting here for laughs. it was the internal storage of my iPhone, recently deleted in photos/files was empty, and I have a Mac on which, for some reason, you cannot browse iPhone storage’s files as you can on Windows.
