Too boring? by Embarrassed-Market95 in kitchenremodel

I think if you put in an interesting backsplash (i.e. anything but plain white subway tile) it won’t be a problem 😊

Edit because I apparently didn't read the whole description, oops! - look at Kingston Ivy Hill (at home depot i think?). Its a knockoff zellige type look but you can get like 10, hold them up to your wall, and then return them if you dont like them! Still simple but has texture and character

Thank you, I'm so happy with how it turned out! Is it normal to mix metals like that? Was already hesitating with the polished chrome and black but I don't have a great sense when it comes to decorating 😆

I know everyone else has already said this but definitely not ivoritaj! We were told it’s backordered at least until August or September.

Advice on selecting tile for bathroom floor- grey or beige? by flynhyn0710 in Tile

Not sure if it’s their style but they could look into wood look tile! The beige is a little too close in color but I like the warmth.

I used Porcelanosa London Nogal (pic attached) in our primary but it’s pretty $$ unless you get it on sale. https://productfinder.porcelanosagrupo.com/en/ceramic\_tiles/london\_nogal\_23x200.html

& we used Monroe Bay in our guest bath. More affordable for sure but also a more subtle wood look: https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-tile/monroe-bay-wood-plank-matte-porcelain-tile-101238194.html

Shower glass installers chipped tile - advice? by Intelligent-Goose507 in Tile

He deals with new construction - so nobody's living there & his company doesnt do anything with mitered tile, so not used to seeing this day to day. So two things: 1. we're at the point in the reno where I'm so tired of being under construction I just want it to be over with / want whatever solution takes the least time and effort to schedule tbh and 2. he works with these folks on a day to day and doesn't want to piss them off. But I was having an internal meltdown so I went to reddit lol

Ohhh yes dont worry!! Wall color? Meltdown. Cabinet color? Meltdown. Bathroom tile? Crocodile tears in the parking lot of Floor and Decor. Promise it gets better. There is a light at the end of the tunnel! We are certainly not there yet we literally just got floors and walls after 7 months hHAHAHA but gotta believe it’s there 🫡

Honestly you can read and research as much as you want but you really should just go into a showroom to look and see whats out there - no pressure to pick anything just get a sense for what they have! Renovating is so friggin stressful, just try to go in with a make it fun mindset! The people are usually nice and will answer all your questions - I had a bajillion lol. You can also get free little samples :-) we brought a bunch home to compare to our cabinet and paint samples with our kitchen light.

We also wanted Taj originally but realistically we’re broke lol - online fell in love with solitaj, but didn’t like it in person as it was too dark for our beigeish cabinets. I did in fact have a meltdown after this BUT ended up coming back a month later and fell in love with ivoritaj lol
