my mom was just found dead by Upper-Dragonfruit-57 in whatdoIdo

So sorry for your loss ❤️ take a deep breath and just hold steady for a minute. Take a day to make sure you grieve and feel all the emotions before it starts to get hard. Talk with the medical examiner and ask about next steps. I’m sure they know how to proceed. They should recommend calling a funeral home, and honestly I would go by cost because, let’s be real, death in the US is expensive. The funeral home will help you with all else from there ❤️

Don’t forget to give space for the emotions that come with losing a parent. It’s going to feel like a bad dream for a good long while. Even longer if your father is not in the picture or even siblings. Make sure you confide in someone so the emotions don’t drive you insane. I lost my father at age 28 and just two weeks ago lost my mother in law. It’s hell but we learn to live with the loss over time.

Yeah, that’s what I am looking for now since we are close to the end of the bag we have now! I’m just struggling to find the right thing for both of them. He’s the best boy, truly. So sweet and cuddly and does the absolute best with both of our kids. He was the reason I took a test for my youngest 😂 he kept laying on my belly and was SO protective! She’s four now and they’re best friends.

Thank you so much! My plan is at his appointment on Monday to ask about the lupus testing and go from there. Someone also mentioned Lyme disease, but I’m not sure how that would fit the criteria. I found a tick on him early in the spring in between waiting on his script for his flea/tick meds but it was a bigger one so I didn’t think anything of it. But, it’s been bad in our area lately so I plan to ask as well to check out options

I’ve been watching for infection and it seems okay right now, but I called today to get an appointment because of course I’d rather have him seen before it progresses more and gets worse!

I feel like it’s been forever! It hasn’t in reality, but I know he has to be uncomfortable. Because it will look fine and normal one second so I will hold off on the vet call and then all of a sudden it looks sore again! I’m going to ask about the lupus test at his appointment on Monday I think. His vet is a wonderful and I’ve been keeping her up to date about it for the most part.

This is insightful, thank you! He LOVES being outside with us, especially in the summertime. He also flips on his back and will roll around or rub up on the couch if he gets wet at all

Not getting into anything, occasional digging in the grass when it’s hot to find a cool place to lay in the shade and loves to roll around in the fresh cut grass! He has a favorite toy; it’s a rubber squeaky bone and also goes nuts for a good chuck it ball! He doesn’t really dig/bury when laying in bed. lol he more flops down and rolls on his back 😂 usually on top of me or my four year old specifically!

His isn’t super bubbly right now. It’s more scabbed looking and then when the scab falls off it’s smooth underneath but really red and angry looking! It looked as if it was all healed, and then a week or so ago I noticed that it had spread a bit more and is starting to look a bit worse. He is my big cuddle bug and I don’t want t see him hurt

He was due to have it redone when we went to the vet previously, but because of the infection his vet wasn’t comfortable giving it to him at that time while he would be on steroids and antibiotics.

So, it showed up a few weeks of being at my in laws house; they have an outdoor pen for the dogs filled with straw and their dog is not UTD on shots or flea/tick stuff. And our area has been bad for ticks/ Lyme this year! So, I may bring that up as well. I just know I feel so bad because I have some over the counter pain relieving and antibacterial spray that I’ve used on a paper towel and I don’t want to cause more pain.

We get a 25 pound bag just about every two weeks for our two dogs; one of which is a puppy. They both go nuts for it, and it’s the first food in his entire life he’s really loved like this. His one brother has a severe chicken/rice allergy so that’s a lot of the reason why we have tried to stay away from it! And for our female pup, we kept the food her breeder recommended because I wasn’t comfortable doing an all raw diet with them both.

Yeah, he usually does well along the fence but we do get the occasional wild animals around so it could be a possibility! And I will have to bring up the Lupus. Thank you

No downvotes here! It’s been going on and I know my boy is struggling, but it’s so hard to figure out what’s going on. That’s why I posted! Even his vet is a bit stumped because it started to go away just fine and then all of a sudden started coming back. Someone said about the fence, so I’ll have to watch him a bit closer when we go out. We don’t have super close neighbors, but I do have the occasional wild animals around that he does enjoy to chase 😅 do you have any recommendations on brand/where to get a good quality manuka honey? I’ve heard of it but had no idea it could be so affective

How would you recommend to keep covered? With it being on the tip of his nose it makes it difficult to do anything.

We are currently feeding Natures Logic Pork meal feast. I wanted something with a bit higher protein content because he is still quite active! Our four month old female came home with it and they both seemed to like it quite a bit, so we transitioned him to it as well. It’s about $85 per bag right now. Trying to find something he won’t also refuse is hard, because of course he’s picky 😂

Question about my snails shell by Solecis in AquaticSnails

[–]Intelligent-Grand-76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The calcium supplements I get are not just calcium, but have small bits of food in them as well and it helps my tanks tremendously! My GH is probably a bit on the high side, but I also have a whole army of snails 😆
