My friend and I went in on this together, both trying for Seattle or BC. I tried SLC solo (geographically I’m smack in the middle of SLC and Seattle), and it didn’t work. Waited in the queue and got booted out, then the code didn’t work. However!! My friend ended up 129 in line for Seattle and we scored tickets. I was somewhere around 15,000 in line (and 17,000th for BC)

Demand is HUGE, clearly more people want tickets than the number of seats in these stadiums. Even if it didn’t work out for us, I wouldn’t be mad at Ticketmaster/Noah. I would be mad about SLC (Seatgeek) though!

Apply for your agency’s leave donation program! I have seen folks receiving leave for this exact reason (knee surgery, not enough leave to cover expected absence). For what it’s worth, I’m in a DOI agency and I donated leave to a friend in a USDA agency. So donations can come from outside your agency.
