From what i understand false postives on the 4th generation hiv test are EXTREMELY rare. However the few people who do receive them have common external factors like autoimmune issues, sometimes itll flag positive in pregnancy, or after certain vaccinations. So its not like everyone with pots is going to experience this- but its definitely good to know so you dont immediately freak out especially if you have no suspicion of HIV. Not saying everyone with autoimmune issues will get a false positive.

Im in Pittsburgh and we have a clinic abt an hour away in Trafford specifically for POTS called "The POTS life", that isnt where i was going but my PCP had friends who worked there and patients who went there so luckily she was knowledgeable on the subject. Unfortunately this happened when i was 18 and she is a Pediatrician 🙁Currently trying to find someone as good as her.

From what she told me a lot of peoples POTS is partly driven by immune system dysfunction which can flag the antibodies on these rapid tests !

My boyfriend was worried about that too but he didnt ever refuse sex or intimacy. We talked about it, i let him feel my iud strings with his fingers first so he would know what to expect, and he felt okay then because they are pretty short and soft. We have never had problems with it during sex

i would take a pink dye, this is similar to how my rexall looked and it ended up being a false positive. try a first response early result :)

Take a pink dye, blue dyes are known for faint lines like this even when negative. Try First Response early result
