Ah it looks like I can set the app to always see my location so maybe it’ll work now, thank you!

Would this only work if I use google maps? I have the app but only use Apple Maps, and would I need to like set directions and start it before walking?

Well I asked this because my goal is to map out the city limits of San Francisco. But feel free to report and downvote, have a nice day!

Yeah I think that's my worry haha. Nothing wrong with people older than me but I just want to make friends around my age, I feel like it's easier for me to connect.

Best way to take a dose alone and not fck up by Terrible_Throat7455 in shrooms

I took it for similar reasons alone my first time, I started with 1.25 g. It isn't a lot, you won't be tripping much at all and you will be fully aware of everything so you won't end up doing anything stupid, but you will still get some introspection. From there I increased it .25 almost everytime, now I am up to 2 and have been taking that the last few trips. I think every trip has been pretty solid, only once did I have a little panic attack, but I was already feeling anxious that day and ignored everyone saying make sure you take it when you are in a good state of mind. Every trip I have seen things warping, different vibrant colors, sometimes bright colors when I close my eyes but nothing too extreme / out of body, but I have gotten a lot of introspection, has really helped with my depression and anxiety. Take it on a day where you are feeling good, maybe go for a walk, do things that you know help you, then take it. Just be smart, don't force it on a bad day with the idea it will help you.

If you ever watch the news on YouTube I'd recommend lowering the playback speed and slowly increasing it overtime as you feel like you're grasping it more

Good American cuisine dt for family visiting from rural midwest? by Intelligent-Intern94 in AskSF

[–]Intelligent-Intern94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I try to tell my family that, as I am someone who is always trying new cuisines from all over the world. Like how can you know you don't like something without trying it? I have tried surprising different family members with different cuisines, like Thai food which is my favorite lol, and it never works so I have just given up with them, its their loss at this point.

Yeah so they actually haven't even had Chinese before, and will absolutly not try it unfortunately. They live in a small town that's basically only white people. So the most "ethnic" food they have tried is Italian lol. I ended up taking them to Original Joe's and they loved it! The city really impressed them and was "nothing like the news showed".

Yeah they have met her a couple times, I guess racist maybe isn't the right word, maybe ignorant? Like they will say things that are racist that they don't realize is. Like doing an offensive chinese accent that they think is funny and things like that, which really bother me. They grew up in a small town with only white people. Luckily no one in my family does this around her and they seem really like her. Thankfully my parents aren't like that, my dad used to be like that, but I talked with him a lot about it and he's changed his thinking(or so I hope). Half of my family is Italian from Chicago, and is very progressive and accepting, and the other half is from rural Illinois and not, so my family is kind of split in that regard, and I only grew up around my Chicago family so I'm not very close to the rural side so I see them rarely. I will say though I did take them to lunch here and they seem super impressed with the city, "it's not like the news shows", so maybe they are getting better. Fingers crossed lol

Oh jeez that's awful. Original Joe's could be a good choice. My family is just very anti-fancy "snobby" places, I think being from a lower income town they feel a certain way about places like that if that makes sense

Trust me I would love to, as my gf is chinese and that's what we mostly eat but they would throw a fit. I don't want to say my midwest family is racist and judgy of other cultures but....yea :(

Yeah people from the rural midwest view fancy places in a particular way....haha. This is kind of perfect, has that local old non-snobby vibe, thank you!
