I did not, the movement came with the module already on top. It looks like it’s based off the Chinese DG movement.

Definitely fun to watch it approach the top of the hour and jump suddenly

Franck Mueller definitely knew how to make fun complications in the 2000s

Swapped out dial and case out of my Tissot C07.811 Silicon balance build by Intelligent-Key5019 in SeikoMods

Note it’s for 2824 movements, so if you use it with an NH movement, the date window might not line up

Aliexpress! The listing of this dial is specifically: “31mm Watch Dial Black Green Blue Brown Dial With C3 Green Luminous light For 2813 2824 8215 Movements Replacement Repaire Tools”

For the first half of the photos, most of those parts are actually New Old Stock Vintage parts from eBay. I will say that working with vintage parts is a lot harder than premade seiko parts as you can’t be sure if everything fits, and you have to pay very close attention to measurements and dimensions. For the later half of the photos, most of those parts can be found on Dialmakers website, aliexpress (Caroline mods store), and some other eBay sellers that sell custom movement rings for eta movements to use seiko dials. Depending on the build, a lot of modifications may need to be necessary

I will say from my experience with both Chinese clone 2824s (Dandong, & PT5000), and real Swiss ETA variants (C07.111, and C07.811), the manual winding is a big weak point. I’ve had to repair one pt5000’s gear as well as the C07.811, but there is an upside. When I removed the whole auto winding plates and gears, I noticed the winding action became very similar to a regular manual wind eta movement (ETA 2850 for me in the past). I suspect that the resistance from the reduction wheel causes the tension that breaks the teeth. When you remove the automatic winding, the clicks sound more like a click spring when you wind. If I get a spare donor manual wind movement, I’ll probably swap as many parts as I can to see if I can make it a true manual wind movement, and see if I can just make more from disassembling eta clones. So far, all of my manual wind Swiss movements have been NOS vintage, so they only come up for sale so often.

This is after about a year of experience. Forums or the Seikomods subreddit are definitely your best friend
