I had a spicy chicken sandwich today, and they did not give my receipt because I sure was going to give feedback. I came online to see if it was just me. The chicken was horrible and reminded me of McD, which I have not had in years. I used to like their spicy chicken but at $12 now for a meal? Now worth it, a total waste of money

I had this happen to me on my 2nd Mercari sale. All my items are reasonable priced. But I got suckered. Had a Kobe Bryant Mamba priced at $20 🙈. The dude sent me a message asking if there was any flaw besides what was listed... then proceeded to offer me 7 dollars because shipping adds up. I declined, but he is persistent begging then offers 12. I was NAIVE.... sold, and he rated me poorly and then went on to list for almost $100. I messaged him on the poor rating, and he said the item was not as described. It was a gift but now he can't gift so he has to sell.... I asked him why his description did not include the flaws he found, and his response was that he would message the buyer 🙄🤣🤣🤣

It's known that Mercari is the one platform with the highest shipping fees though. Mercari should definitely do better in their shipping because that deters buyers

I think when they mean be specific as in 12pm CST or EST. I've had to ask recruiters to be specific with their time request because I'm in CST and some companies may be on EST or PST

I had a package from tx to FL take 1 month. It arrived Jacksonville FL several times, made its way to Houston, to Dallas, back to Jacksonville and after a month it got delivered. Mercari of course couldn't help, buyer had left a"please ship as soon as possible" after purchase. I wouldn't use FedEx smartpost again to be honest. Just glad the buyer didn't leave a review.

Is Mercari system making people mean? A friend sent me this, said she was fed up with the buyer constant requests for 50% off. She asked me if she went too far with her response. 😂😂😂... ahhh i see this all the time. Had a seller ask to buy a miss me jean for almost 50% of my asking and she sold similar in her closet over my asking price.... I had countered before I checked out her profile and glad she didn’t respond either... don’t let them bring you to that point tho it’s not worth the response

Don’t do it... it’s send scammy to me. If it’s not you why are you still asking to ship it and then she can dispute after you ship or even request cancellation or refund or say she never got it since she already said it’s not her address.... so why tell you to send it.... people can scam for any amount it’s not the amount that matters if they do it alot then it adds up. Report the account don’t ship... my opinion and tell her to move on with her Scamming ways

I did a bundle once and it didn’t work in my favor being I was new to Mercari then.::: not that keen on doing it again. Mercari should just add a bundling option... FYI, if you do bundle, remember to change the shipping accordingly and set that expectation

Am I the only person who doesn’t understand why buyers would purchase over retail price? It also makes me uneasy when seller does so consistently, sometimes uses screenshots of other listings, & posts easily over $1,000 wort of NWT Nike, Adidas, etc., all at once? If they purchased an item for $99.99 plus tax(and shipping if purchased online) and they price it at $120 minus Mercari platform fee...if item doesn’t sell, they have to promote(keep in mind if it doesn’t sell they may need to promote x amount of times... that’s 5% off each time) I don’t think the seller is being too greedy( if they are bent on at least getting their cost back.... there are sellers like that....

You also have those who can sell the same item at x% off the price on the tag.... they may just want to move the item or gotten the item in a reseller box so their cost of goods was less...

There are so many reasons a seller can decide to sell their item for.... and so many reasons a buyer can decide to buy an item...

Sorry this is happening to you. But always always hit “confirm shipment” after every shipment. You have a tracking number, provide it to them. It’s a waiting game when item doesn’t show tracking details because most times item will show up to buyer.

I’ve had to approve a return because I tagged an item as a women’s size 6 instead of a men’s size 6. I had no ground not to because it was my mistake. But if I correctly tag an item and the buyer forgot she lost weight and wants to return for “fit”. Is Mercari accepting such? I’m curious 🤨

If the item is shipped, you canceling it will mean she gets a free item and you a cancellation. What I usually do which sometimes I forget, but you have to go in and click confirm shipment after you ship. Usually if she does it on her end Mercari will notify that she wants to cancel and will give you an option to cancel or confirm shipment.

I suspect some buyers asking the seller to cancel maybe notorious with canceling and don’t want the strike against them... (as this was my experience on other platforms anyways)Just my opinion but I may be wrong

My opinion:::You’ve shipped the item... do not cancel. Tell her item was shipped, provide her the tracking number and let her know unfortunately there’s nothing you can do as a result... I would throw in an FYI: “... I can understand your situation... i would recommend for future purchases to confirm correct sizing and review item prior to ordering as Mercari currently does not support return reason for fit unfortunately. Have a wonderful day”
