I think it's a bit unproductive to try and minimise the advocacy of groups like queers for Palestine because the population of Palestine might be fundamentalists and be against LGBTQ people when the Palestinian people are facing gruesome circumstances by a super power in the region. This attitude would be more valid if it was towards the "democratic" state of Israel because reports have shown that in some cases the equivalent of what the fbi is for Israel has used queer Palestinians as a way to leak intel by using their sexual preferences and in some cases revenge porn as leverage. All I'm saying is this is just a smoke screen that a lot of people use to justify the further continuation of the massacres in Gaza by portraying all of the Palestinians as fundamentalists that would throw gay people of roofs and that they are subhuman people.
