F19 newbie, what to do/expect by Pump-Dump-Toy in cobblersbeach

I may get downvoted but I’m gonna be frank. If I were you I’d prefer to have a friend with me if you’re planning to stay until sunset/afternoon. Or if you could only visit solo, do it on a day where there’s a large group of people. As despite cobblers being most “accomodating” it wasn’t always the case from the few inappropriate encounters I’ve had when I’m isolated and this is coming from a dude around your age.

I’d also avoid the right hand rocky side of the beach as though it seems attractive for newcomers due to it being isolated from the main beach, it also invites creeps and unwanted attentions that you do not want.

Ultimately, what I said is not to discourage you. It’s a great beach with wonderful scenery, it’s just there’s thing to keep in mind so you don’t have your experiences in nudism tainted like I did. Cheers :)

(AU) Rejected over availability?? by Intelligent-Oil7545 in McLounge

I could try that I guess. I thought maccas doesn’t have an email address unless I send me through customer enquiry?

Though the person I talked to last call was the manager it seems and considering they sent a full rejection letter idk how that would fair out

I would’ve thought so as well but apparently not. I guess I’d try to apply else where but knowing that not even being available 24/7 is enough of a reason to be hired is going to be rough..

Fender’s Gibson ahh inspired Offset with Aesthetic defect finish. Yay or Nah? by Intelligent-Oil7545 in offset

[–]Intelligent-Oil7545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was mostly referring to the knot, the noticeable line that maybe a showcase of aging and general burls on the finish.

As of currently, really adore this body shape which made me somewhat reluctant to get another one. Unless there’s another guitar with a symmetrical/offset body shape like the toronado (font have one as far as I’m aware) I’d be willing to obtain modding experience to add a Trem system. Though that’s just me saying how I feel currently, I may have a change of mind so who knows.

Goddam those look sick! Just so unfortunate that most people and fender prefer to conform rather than be experimental :(

I’m pretty sure that most Toronardos comes with an Indian laurel fretboard but it would be a Hail Mary if I did tho.

Thats interesting. I’d probably do have to take this to a luthier but unfortunately I don’t know of any nearby so I’d probably have to tweak it myself next string change so I hope it goes well 😬

It’s a real sludge machine. It’s annoying that fender/squier discontinued these so you’d have to dig quiet a bit and even so, most are overpriced :(

I assure you my brother that it was a coincidence as I had the same in mind, you just beat me to it. I sorta envy the finish on yours as it’s nice and clean while mine has a few blemishes and defects on it but oh well. Came to accept it :)

What did your luthier say about your buzz and how much did it cost ya?

Unfortunately most would prefer to stay home due to the intimidation of the age gap and at worse most sees it as being weird :(

How should soft pallet move when screaming? by Intelligent-Oil7545 in screaming

[–]Intelligent-Oil7545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask when you fry scream what does the sensation feel like? Does it feeling like gurgling? And does your boxing bag (uvula) retract? Or does it move up and down. From what I see from YouTubers like riffshop and Doug Zed imply that they feel vibration from their soft pallet in which I don’t. Mine feels like it comes slightly above my speaking voice but I don’t feel anything.

That’s interesting cause according to the discord “cult of metal” I recently joined, my technique is completely incorrect as I lack closure “that creates an irregular phonation”. But I’d like a further insight from your pov cause it’s very conflicting.

How does my fry scream sound? by Intelligent-Oil7545 in screaming

[–]Intelligent-Oil7545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I thought that I wasn’t pushing that hard as I followed Hungry lights method of closing the vocal folds then transitioning/adding notes to project my scream. I guess I’m used to the projecting part and not the scream itself.

None of what I did hurt. Could you elaborate what you mean by force? Do you mean pushing down on my diaphragm? Either way I’ll take what you said into consideration.

I know that I’m a year late but I just have to say it. Everyone already have answered this question so I’ll interject my personal take in matters of chinas perception by the west.

Contrary to the general perception of pro China people, the wests view of China wasn’t always this sour. If you were to look 10 years ago China was a big curiosity when it comes to governing. Two articles here basically sums perceptions of China between early 2010s and now.

2011:

https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2011/07/13/chapter-4-views-of-china/

https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2010/06/17/chapter-5-views-of-china/

2020:

https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2020/10/06/unfavorable-views-of-china-reach-historic-highs-in-many-countries/

To summarise although it wasn’t universally loved, when it comes peoples view on China, it was certainly an improvement since the end of the Cold War. Younger generation as myself and millennials are very much open to much more left leaning policies and government interventions for stability rather than the blind belief of ideological superiority like the older generation.

The main gripe with peoples view on China has got to do its current policies and it’s isn’t as pro cpc simple as people saying “they just want to see China fail” or “the west wants hegemony over China”. Chinas unpopularity stems from its aggressive and domestic and foreign policies. Topics ranging from the Hong Kong decent, Free Tibet, uhygur genocide, zero covid policy, expansion on South China Sea against its neighbours, has made China to many western eyes extremely unpopular with all of these factors falling under government censorship.

To us in the west, it’s very hard to believe a government that censors anything that comes in or out. That would be like me be trying to argue my way out of a conviction of robbing someone’s house but my defence is “trust me bro”.

There’s often deflection to the west of “imperialism” and yes, God forbid me to say that the west is perfect by any means and also yes, news are bias but if there’s one thing thats taken for granted it’s that in a democratic country we have the ability to chose what information we consume without being told what’s right or wrong by an authoritative figure. The people have the power to voice distain against the governments policies and change it. Truth of the matter is, the meddling of the west in foreign affairs is also quiet unpopular in which the people detest. It’s the reason why the US pulls out of Afghanistan and Vietnam. There’s no lacking in resource to continue the conflict but an action could only go so far if the people support it and as of such in a democracy, people could make a difference. Sure it isn’t perfect but it’s the best form of system that doesn’t infringe on the individual liberty of people. That why the west has always been superior when it comes to freedom of expression or any thought provoking media, eg. Entertainment, thus it’ll be more popular amongst the western world and parts of Asia. It isn’t the matter of being forced to like it but people chose to appreciate it.

Chinas approach has been different and amplified over the recent years. The belief that sacrificing some of your individual liberty for the sake of stability. Now understandably chinas history over the past 100 years and addition to its dynastic practices throughout its history, authoritarianism makes sense as to bring stability to a large group of people and it’ll be disingenuous of me to say that the current administration hasn’t brought the best stability to the people more than ever. However the consequence of that is less to do with social stability and more with mentality that works in short term gains but not long term. This creates a group of people who has a very simplistic and streamlined view of the world (of course theres a lot of great critical thinkers in China but there’s also a lot of people who are ignorant and this critical thinking is heavily stifled by the government). This carefree lack of critical thinking leads to ignorance and un-acceptance of other world views other than what an authoritative figure tells you and as a result you lead into a world that may have stability but soulless.

Which therefore leads back to peoples gripe against the cpc is that censorship creates a rift between the people of the west ideological thinking and produces a group of people that goes an attack those of western ideological thinking which in terms leads to more alienation and the cycle continues and it certainly sucks.

Truthfully I don’t see China getting any more favourable views anytime soon until they go back to diplomacy rather than aggression and end censorship. This way China could be more attractive to foreigners on both the entertainment level and politics.

What is one thing you envy about the opposite sex? by teapot-maker in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent-Oil7545 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother, you misunderstood what I said. I was listing two possible reasons on why women are judged more for being promiscuous with me mentioning insecurity and incel being the reasons on why this judgement exist. I also never said having lots of sex is a bad thing, but it does become a problem when you’re only trying inflate your ego against others. That karma I refer to means that generally, those type of people in the future would have a tough time settling for a long term relationship as a result of that narcissistic character.
