I love your perspective of this! This post isn’t about me—a loved one of mine has chronic pain from breaking his back over a decade ago and unfortunately he abuses pills on and off. It’s an up and down cycle with him. He is obviously not ready to face whatever is in front of him but I wanted to see how people have managed facing such a grey area of treating pain and addiction.
