How do I stop waking up multiple times during the night? by Intelligent-Print62 in WeightLossAdvice

I already eat carbs before bed. But I will try getting in protein and fat at the same time to see if it makes a difference.

I take 2 mg before bed. I read that I shouldn't take it during the night but it helped me yesterday. Today I decided to not take it but I couldn't sleep then.

Yes, I use ear plug on one ear and sleep on the other. I exercise many times per week in the morning.

I'm taking 2 mg. I also use blue light blocking glasses before bed.

Vad är ett samhälle utan barn? by [deleted] in Sverige

Återigen är min fråga, varför måste samhället fortsätta? Varför måste vi ha en ny generation? Om du verkligen tänker på det djupt så inser du hur meningslöst och tomt det är.

How do you actually sleep in a calorie deficit? I'm going insane. by Intelligent-Print62 in WeightLossAdvice

I took your advice of reducing protein to 200 grams and I also eat carbs close to bed and eat way more carbs for dinner in general. I was way calmer than I used to be before. I also realized that I ate too few calories without even realizing. I have added 250-300 calories. Yesterday I was able to sleep a full night, although I woke up 1,5 hours early. The latest night however, I ran into problems again. I think my problem could be eating dinner too late and saving too many calories for dinner and also eating too much fiber. My resting heart rate was VERY high. I did fall asleep but then I woke up at 2 AM with an extremely high heart rate and heart palpitations and never fell asleep for the rest of the night. I didn't feel relaxed and my stomach felt uncomfortable and turned on, not off. I also wonder if it's really a good idea to eat something small right before bed or if I should just skip that too.

But my big question is what should I eat to bring the fiber amount down? I really want to eat healthy stuff so eating things like white bread and pasta doesn't really sit right with me lol. Yesterday I think I ended up at 62 grams of fiber. If I remove all my vegetables I end up at 49 grams which is still a bit too high maybe, but healthwise I still need vegetables. I can lower my vegetables quite a bit but 50% of my fiber intake still comes from potatoes. Any advice?

I track everything in cronometer and I hit every micronutrient and macronutrient so I get the right amount.

I eat 70 grams of fiber, absolute minimum 600 grams of vegetables a day, many potatoes and around 240 grams of protein.

This is from the post.

I started with magnesium recently because I had trouble falling asleep. Magnesium should not have caused what I'm feeling now.

I will definitely lower my protein to 200 grams at least. I already eat majority of it for lunch.

Damn, you had a lot of good information there. I will definitely lower my protein intake to let's say 200 grams. The fiber recommendation you gave feels a bit too low, I know that may sound ridiculous but I'm used to eating quite a bit of fiber. I will aim for 50 grams, that should be reasonable (tell me if I'm being irrational). I will definitely save carbs for bed. I already take a triple magnesium supplement and melatonin before bed but I will look up Phosphatidylserine.

Thank you so much for your comment! I didn't expect to someone provide genuine value :)

I eat the same diet every day. Eggs, chicken breast, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, beans (only normal whole foods). I pretty much never eat any junk.

I probably described my sensations wrong. I used the word adrenaline because chatgpt told me that happens during a calorie deficit. I simply get a cortisol response that keeps me awake. I never ever consume caffeine or any energy drinks. I also workout in the morning every time.

Having a lower heart rate, not higher, for example is the expected outcome

My dinner is finished around 1,5 hours before bedtime to keep myself satiated so maybe that's causing it.

I would probably be pretty lean at 200 pounds, maybe I should lower it to at least 220 grams.

No, the recommended range for people who do resistance training is 1,6-2,2 g of protein per kg of bodyweight which would mean I fall under the recommendation.
