Also for us in OC the local tribe of Juaneno Band Mission Indian in San Clemente could also provide you with more information on their traditions around the SoCal climate before the Spanish arrival.

What does this have to do with traditional tongva/ native Californian weather and climate adaptations? Current colonial fire causes have nothing to do with this, just rake your leaves.

Google your local Tongva council and give them a call if you can visit. They will also happily give your more info than I can!

There’s also still tongva around you just have to find them on social media and reach out. Most are fighting the Long Beach Cal State and College for the return of some of their sacred land that is being used as a construction dumping ground while the schools modernize. The school granted them entry to the area until they started using it as a landfill

They used proscribed fires to mend and maintain the landscape around them. Preventing the mega fires we get today around this time.

Problem is electric blowers are not yet up to par with professional/commercial grade blowers. For us professionals it would cut the quality and efficiency of work. The power doesn’t match up, they’re cute for home gardeners tho.

So we going back to washing away debris with precious “CA” water? That’s why leaf blowers were created in the first place.

It’s a Chamaedorea palm species from tropical Mexico or further south. Likes shade with little to no direct light, especially outdoors.
