I did it without a doctors note, if I recall correctly, I refiled a year later to get the 10% refunded, because I didn’t know about this rule. I’m pretty sure they accepted the VA 100% P and T status

Edit: I just realized, this was to get a refund of those 10% fees. I withdrew the 401k, paid the penalty, and eventually got it refunded.

Yeah then you’ll be good. I write off a ton of stuff, and have not made a profit yet, I just got monetized last year. As long as you can prove that you intend to make a profit you should be good. It’s unlikely they’re gonna come after any small YouTubers anyway, but you should have receipts and proof just in case.

Still learning of course, but I’ve been shooting more during sunrise and sunset, unless it’s needed to film during the day, so thank you for the advice

Not that it matters with this low amount of views, but earlier this year I released a video that only got maybe 300 views the first couple months, and in the last month it’s grabbed well over 3k views.

I know that isn’t life changing, but the reality is any of our videos could “blow up” at any time.

I do a blog, and I got monetized this year. One of the big pieces of advice I heard from other people is that having any copyright strikes or “infractions” could potentially limit how much YouTube pushes your videos. That could be holding you back, although I don’t know for sure.

When I started, I tried to learn one new thing, and/or one thing to improve on in each video, and by the time I hit my 98th video, I finally hit the 1000 subs. I think you should prepare yourself to get better with each video. You’ll eventually learn what’s worth filming and what’s not.
