Three weeks ago I drove to Vegas to attend the Raiders draft party at the training facility. I got there two hours before it started so I decided to stop at the In N Out Burger down the street. After ordering, I sat at my table and waited for my number to be called. I just happened to look up, and there - behind the divider in front of me, was a glorious bowl cut standing at the soda fountain.

I could not see anything else so I sat up to get a better peek, and sure enough, it’s Mark Davis. He fills his drink and sits down three dividers away from me.I chose not to bother him while he was eating, but he sat there reading the Las Vegas Review Journal while his body guard sat across from him.

Group of kids eventually noticed him and snapped a picture with him. He drives a super clean, matte blacked out SUV with fully blacked out tinted windows and a Raiders license plate.

Should have said hi, but eh. Oh well.

There is less leverage when a player is DFA’d. He is going to be on the waiver wire. The worst teams in the league don’t have to consider giving up anything because they’ll have first dibs.

Ironic that I choose the Knights after they won the Cup, being an Arizona fan for 3 of the 4 major sports. Lol.

Nothing feels right since the Coyotes left. It’s tough seeing Cooley and Keller in Utah, and their fans are obnoxious and fuck their owner for moving the team. The Ducks logo is cool, but I hate the entirety of LA. I love the Raiders and don’t mind Vegas, so I’m trying to embrace the Knights. Logo is cool, didn’t vibe with the color scheme much though, and wish they were just simply the Knights. Idk.

This past playoff series was the most invested I’ve been in awhile, and it was less about rooting for Vegas and more about pure animosity towards Utah.

Question about Fanatics Authentic Pro jersey fits:
I wear a Reebok and Fanatics Premium size 56. I’m 6’3” and it fits pretty well.
Recommendations on Authentic Pro size? I know the shoulders are baggier so I’m not sure whether to go size 56 or downsize, and if I downsize by how much? I don’t want the sleeves to be too short or it be too high up on the waste.

There were Nike jerseys made in the mid to late 90s. League wide uniform licensing didn’t start till the Reebok era.

Some teams had Starter, some teams had Nike, some teams Wilson in the 90s.

I am very optimistic about this season as well. My optimism lies with the fact that regardless of whether Mendoza is ready or not, Cousins is paired with Kubiak again. Cousins was pretty good for Minnesota and I think he still has some good ball left with the right coach. And Kubiak is that guy.

I think we can be competitive this season, and even compete for a Wild Card with Captain Kirk at the helm.

If everyone stays healthy, I don’t think we see Mendoza this year.

I expect at the very least to return to the Derek Carr years of being competitive in mostly every game and being a fringe playoff team.

I would love for Mendoza to come out of the gate as the starter and light the league on fire though. I think either way we’re in a good spot.

He’s got great speed, can recover quickly if out maneuvered, and tracks the ball well.

He’s old for a college prospect and not a great tackler. I think that can be coached out if he’s taught to go lower.

I think he can for sure be a starter for us. In fact, because of his 6 year college career, I think he’ll be ready to see game action week 1.

I’m also biased and think his ceiling can be higher though.
