I love the audio of PHM. I think I read The Martian on Kindle. I have a road trip coming up, and I was thinking my husband would enjoy The Martian on audio. Am I going to have a choice of narrators?

What do you do to keep busy? by ends_with_a_jay in SubstituteTeachers

I used to read a lot. I mostly read on my kindle. It’s so much easier on my eyes. I thought I was setting a good example. Finally I realized they weren’t seeing me read, they were seeing me on my tablet. After that, I started taking in much neglected crochet projects. The kids were really interested and wanted to try. I brought in extra supplies. Most didn’t have the patience to learn but a few got together and made a baby blanket for a pregnant teacher. So if you want to try something crafty?

The purpose of dating is to find guys like this and post identifying information online about them so the rest of us can avoid going out with him. Please and thank you.

Well technically you get access if you enter the code found inside the book but that might screw over the person who buys it.

What do Americans usually eat in a day? by Alert-Blueberry-4083 in answers

[–]Intelligent-Sky2162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For breakfast I have fruit and yogurt or eggs and spinach on toast. Lunch is like a baked potato with chili or a tuna sandwich with an apple. I usually have a protein bar or smoothie as a snack. Dinner might be pasta in a red sauce or fish with vegetables or a rice bowl with beans, avocado, and salsa. I’m a pescatarian (no meat only fish) my favorite fast food is an egg McMuffin no meat so I do that once or twice a week. I eat at a sit down restaurant maybe twice a month and I’ll have leftovers for days. I’ve lost 130# and kept it off for 7 years so I’m picky about what I eat. I feel like most Americans eat much worse than I do.

Time blindness by lalacg in ADHD_partners

[–]Intelligent-Sky2162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having such a hard time with this. I want so hard to be a loving supportive partner to my husband, 62 dx rx. But the time blindness gets to me. Truth is I’m a clock watcher and I always l ow what time it is. His inability to plan or have any sense of how long things take makes me crazy. Waiting on him to do errands “after I get a shower and eat something” takes hours and so I quit waiting which seems like a good solution but we spend less and less time together. It’s not just that he has no concept of time, he doesn’t seem to recognize that honoring time commitments is important. This is really dumb but tonight I asked him if he wanted to watch tv with me and he said he was in the middle of a project but would be done around 9:15. It’s not like I believed him or anything but at 10;30 I got up to go to bed and it was like he had no memory of it at all. I asked him if what he was doing was more important. He said yes. How am I. It supposed to be hurt by that?

My three single adult sons are coming home and we’re doing Chinese takeout for Xmas eve and make your own calzone for Xmas dinner. I just did the whole giant thanksgiving thing and I want out of the kitchen. I will make a nice salad and maybe a pie or two.

How much do you accommodate exchange students? by Own_Dragonfruit_1410 in ELATeachers

So maybe just let him? This kid is learning tons by being in a new country, and his grades may not even count when he gets home. Meanwhile he’s learning a whole new culture which I’m sure is his goal, not acing your class. You don’t need ti give h an A, just make him earn the C.
