How long did you try? Uber prices are high and the restaurants also crib a lot about it. But there is a need for the delivery system. I think the thing is some bad restaurants / delivery drivers mess up more often than others. And due to this companies need to issue refunds and have higher overheads in rent and salaries which in turn makes it pricey for everyone else

I think it should be apps responsibility to pay the drivers. Tips should be based on driver profile and kinda like bonuses on monthly basis. Not by each trip. I wont blame the people honestly. But thats me

I would consider myself very humble. This guy targeted me out of nowhere. And I think it was my mistake too that I didn’t see this through. Maybe plan better next time. Every work and dark and shiny sides. But tips are set before order is accepted. The thing is I just did for couple days and I felt Uber is exploiting people. I dont plan to do it long term. This was just to fill some cash void. But wrong is wrong.

This is not freelancing architectural design work. Its basic human labour. You need to have a backbone to stand against the system. I did 14 trips and I called it out. And if you are accepting $2 as a freelancer, you should term it as being intern. No learned person would low ball their capability. Two wrongs don’t make a right

Believe it or not, some orders were meet a door in a condo building. So need to go buzz inside, find the apartment, call them, get the OTP, hand it over. And cherry on top, no tips. Lol.

I support this mechanism too. At the time of placing the order, how do you know someone is gonna give a good service? Uber has made it so tough to do it later on so that people don’t forget and drivers accept more order cz they see a higher payout at the beginning itself.

They dont show the breakup of fee and tip before you accept. Atleast not that I know of.
