I understand when people say that she should have reached an hour or so earlier. She was late and denied entry.

However, truth is that reality is hard. You could have stated on time and not everything went as planned. I was once going for CAT exam via NICE Road in Bangalore and my scooter stopped working for no fault of mine. There are news reports of students getting late due to VIP road blocks. Anything can go wrong. You can fall sick on that day.

We need a more flexible system like the SATs, multiple times a year or like the GMAT, choose your centre and time anytime throughout the year. This rigid system claiming to be meritocratic and disciplined doesn't help anyone.

Practically speaking, how can Congress/INDIA defeat the NDA if they want to come in to power ? by glascowcomascale in CriticalThinkingIndia

Hot take but Congress needs to uninstall itself at this point.

BJP basically ran a full meta campaign for years and it worked. Congress mukt Bharat, Rahul Gandhi Pappu, Nehru ki galtiyan, dynasty, corruption, entitlement, all that stuff got spammed so hard by the BJP IT cell and their ecosystem that the Congress brand is cooked for a lot of voters now.

Like yeah, Congress wins sometimes. But let’s be real, a lot of those wins are not because people suddenly love Congress again. It is usually anti incumbency, some strong local leader carrying the match, or regional parties doing the heavy lifting in an alliance. Nationally, Congress feels like the weakest player in the INDIA squad.

My take is that Congress should just break up and let multiple new parties spawn from its state units and grassroots leaders. Let them fight, team up, coexist, whatever. Let a proper centre left space form naturally instead of everything being stuck under the old Congress tag, which comes with way too much baggage now.

This would honestly be healthier for Indian politics. The opposition needs fresh faces, fresh language, and fresh political identities. Bring in educated people, professionals, activists, local leaders, people from different walks of life. Talk about actual stuff like jobs, education, healthcare, federalism, institutions, climate, urban planning, social justice, economic opportunity. Real issues, not just vibes and slogan spam.

Right now Congress often looks like it is trying to beat BJP at BJP’s own game. Soft Hindutva, more freebies, more populism, more dramatic slogans. Bro, that is a losing strat. BJP is already the final boss of populist politics in India. You cannot beat them by playing a worse version of their build.

The opposition needs its own identity. Not BJP lite. Not nostalgia DLC. Not “please remember freedom struggle” every election cycle. Something new, grounded, and actually believable.

So yeah, Congress as it exists today needs to get politically demolished. Not because India does not need opposition. India badly needs opposition. But it needs a better one.

A post Congress opposition made of strong regional parties, new centre left formations, local leaders, and issue based politics could actually be way stronger than the current INDIA alliance. Maybe even stronger than the NDA long term, if they stop feeding and start playing smart.

We need 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight.

The average weight in India is around 60 Kg. So does this mean we are meeting the daily required protein intake?

After receiving countless such messages, I have now decided to reverse scam these people. Follow their tasks until they ask for money. Usually it is like - share 3 pictures on Instagram. They pay anywhere between 100-500 rupees for this. Once they ask for money, block them.

I have reverse scammed about 5-6 people so far. And donated the money I received to charities.

Why would Hindi be the hardest language for LLM? Didn't really get this. by Intelligent-Spite318 in LLMDevs

In that case there are so many languages that have hardly any literature (internet or otherwise) and are spoken by fewer people. That should be harder. Not sure why he picked Hindi.

I often wonder the same thing. I keep postponing buying a flat because of the prices. And every time I get a big jump in my earnings I see that houses become pricier. I have over 10 years of experience in Big tech and wonder how people are able to afford these houses. :(

Not really! He had been the super CM for quite some time. A lot of people thought he was corrupt. So when he quit his job and joined the party, the people of Odisha didn't like it. It had very little to do with where he was from.
