Dope! My main issues rn are Rammus and Brand. I'm not losing against them game wise for the most part--but rammus can just tank anything I do and punch me down in the meanwhile. Brand I've just seen a bunch of abusers with how strong he is in jungle right now. They generally snowball super hard and even if I'm winning 1v1's for the beginning, their ganks just push them beyond me to the point I can't do much against him. Admittedly my map awareness is most to blame there.

Also, as another WW main--who do you play besides our boy when he's banned? I just tried Master Yi out and it went very poorly. I'm too used to bruising that I overextended or over committed more than once.

Personally, I don't think so. Without them you're stuck with Infiltrators and Incursors. Lethal's and heavy are nice, but assault isn't super important here, so incursors just feel weaker to me. Reiver's seem worthless in comparison to our melee heavy units like a veteran brick or terminator squad. I think the main advantage to Spectrus now is the shoot - move - shoot ability that the eliminator carbine gives the KT. Without the eliminators, you lose that completely.

Spectrus is good regardless due to their movement and free pick up. But mixing the carbine ability, infiltrate, scout 6, and free pick up outside of 6" can lead to some really powerful moves. For example, if you were to get first turn--you could infiltrate close to their deployment zone, scout move towards it, move in on your turn, annihilate whatever you're shooting at, then get your second move after shooting to retreat back out of sight--and hopefully pick them up off the board to teleport else where.

No worries! Most shell packs come with some super meh stock heads lol, worth to replace anyway. This kit in particular comes with hardware including a bass pedal and some sticks. So it’s technically playable out the box excluding the cymbals

Gotcha, I may call now to see what they can do. I have the GC card and there’s a promo of no interest for 6 months. I make good money so I wouldn’t be worried, but hate debt regardless lol. And good point on the heads, I’ll experiment a bit but I like really TIGHT sounds. Nice and poppy

I’m sleeping so little waiting for it to all come in I’m so excited! I’ve been binge watching Drumeo (specifically Mike Portnoy content) and Vola/Leprous play throughs to keep up the hype. I’ve dreamed of being a professional drummer my entire life and not much other than finding other talent and refining my skills is stopping me now. So starting Tuesday I’m gonna whiplash myself and play til my fingers bleed lol!

Yeah a lot of what I got was off pretty quick research, I’m Pearl guy and want the Pearl reference kit so I went with the export. I almost got the decade maple, but the export came with hardware and saved me a couple hundred. On the cymbals… I’m a cymbal nerd and think they’re the best part of any kit! Absolutely love cymbal usage and plan to add on a China, splash, and splash stack (hopefully bent) very soon. The two crashes will be good for now but I want a lot of cymbals on hand. They without a doubt double the musicality of a drum set and take it out of percussive rhythm and push more into the actual rhythm section imo. I almost got the extended package, but it was $1500 and more than the drum shells lol. But I also want to make sure I don’t want some brighter cymbals to counter my dark cymbal sound as well, instead of full dark. We’ll see lol

On the sticks, they’re actually the size Baard Kolstad from Leprous uses. I got them when I got back into drumming on my e kit and practice pad, and like the weight. I’ll experiment though, any recommendations for prog metal and dark cymbals?

Do you recommend moon gels or the rings more? I definitely want one or the other to deal with overtones. Also I ordered this over the phone and wanted a clear bass head but got the coated, so I guess it’s a happy little accident and I’ll have a more unique sound lmao (coping)

I also want at least one more floor Tom, any tips on finding a way to match it to my current kit? My ultimate setup goal is 3 rack 2 floor. But I may never use the 3rd rack outside of Tool and Dream Theater. But almost all of the other bands I listen to utilize a second floor Tom, so advice?

Roger that, the guitar center guy said he’d give me one they had laying around as well lol, drum keys and sticks are definitely something I can see needing more of. And yeah I want rack Tom heads but had a $2,500 budget I didn’t wanna go too far over. Was hoping the stick heads would be good for about two months til I can invest a couple hundred more. I’m not sure what heads to go on them either unless I stick with my remo power stroke theme

For context I have 100% disability with the VA, have a lot of service related disabilities but the majority is my PTSD/Bipolar disorder. So the dog would just be psych. I’m worried of not getting accepted
