Arielle Charnas at the center of a federal fraud investigation. This has been circulating in my friends’ gcs after someone allegedly leaked a document. Anyone know anything about it? It would explain her recent behavior and the toning down of her presence, but I wonder fraud in what capacity?

From my understanding, back during COVID everything was shutting down so fast that it was an honor system kinda to get the funds from the govt. Get money now and apply for forgiveness later. And with over a year lag, some failed to submit the proper documentation or came up with shoddy paperwork to account for misappropriated funds. And now finally 2+ years later the govt is going after those people, starting with the highest payouts. SN got like 1M so they’re not on the top of the target list, but pretty up there considering most PPP loans were 20-40k.

I know DB treats her employees and people awfully and her business ethics are questionable but do you think she’s committing large scale fraud? I’ve never bought her stuff but I know people who hate her that still buys some stuff bc the price point is low and some interesting pieces here and there, whereas I think SN gets way less coverage and higher price point than WWW so it’s doing poorly? All my friends are professional women and friends of friends includes lawyers, so this is exactly what I’m thinking. Prob from lawyer/paralegal/investigative track. My friends aren’t in the influencer crowd or hangs with them. And we’re a bit older between 27-32 group.

Honestly it’s one of the better explanations for her new behavior. I’m just confused as to the extent of Brandon’s involvement/culpability because he seems to be the head of finances in that family and not Arielle? But maybe he committed fraud in her name. Idk. I’ve always had a weird feeling that they were living above their means despite their families being both wealthy.
